The whole midfield were excellent and a good all round team performance. Turnbull's goal was a belter but I thought Bigi ran the show so he gets my vote.

Part of the best Well side I ever had the pleasure to watch. He's alive and well living in Larkhall.
Millar, McVie and Stephens. (Willie Watson and McLaren) weren't really known for good football. IMHO there have been a lot better teams since then e.g. Lambert, McKinnon, etc.

Frear for his hat-trick. I also thought Andy Rose had a good game.
-
Is it not 13th July for Scottish Cup winners? He'll need a rest after the celebrations too.
-
Congratulations to him on the call up. Hopefully he'll have to withdraw to play in the Europa league qualifiers.
-
Was it not O'Reilly who was the ref when Jennings had the betting scandal?
-
Easiest vote of the season, Kipre.
-
Might be worth having a bet on a red card then.
-
Alan Rough also highlighted on STV 2 that McGregor ran yards off the park so he could get in front of Rose. Is that allowed now?

Hello fellow 'Well fans,
I'm needing help identifying this autograph on a Motherwell jersey that I had signed last week.
It is not Tait, Hammell, Heneghan, McManus, Ainsworth, McHugh, Moult, Bowman, Cadden, Lasley, Blyth, Clay, Jules, McFadden, Campbell, McDonald or Persson whose autos are clear on the remainder of the jersey.
Thanks.
From this month's signed calendar picture, it could be Craig Moore.
-
Ainsworth for me, although wish I could have 2 votes as Moult put in some shift. Frear good too.

He was always likeable. It was just his style of play that wound fans up (when he wasn't playing for our team).
Remember his first game back at Fir Park playing with Rangers, he came over and clapped the East Stand before the match. Not many do that..
-
Thompson hasn't been great for us either. Wasn't it him who sent off 3 well players at Easter Road?
-
Robinson just scored past Ripley. 2-0 now
-
4-2 v Celtic in the 91 replay for me. Particularly loved Psycho's goal.
I' ve been lucky to have seen a lot mentioned earlier. Favourite goal I've seen was Billy Davies v Partick when we won 3-1 with McLeish as manager.

Just a wee thought that occurred to me about Ferguson. I agree with everybody that he was out his depth at left back but who was the last player we had making his debut out of position at left back and looking totally lost.
Uncle Phil
Not for a minute am I suggesting Ferguson will go on and be the player O'Donnell was (different position) for a start but how many of us could have seen how that turned out after Phil's debut
I was thinking about the exact same game just before reading your post, Bart.
Against St Mirren, I remember Kenny McDowall knocking him all over the place. Younger fans just think of Jim Goodwin. If Ferguson is even 1/2 as good as Phil he'll do all right. I don't think he's ready fir first time just yet after Saturday.

Enough of the better fan debate and what you will/won't pay to see your team... One mans dedication on the European front has him representing the club at the draw in Nyon next week. Right touch by the club. Thoroughly deserved and they'll be plenty of pictures!
Aw naw, hope it's not Decorator or he'll be bunging them for a trip to Israel (or worse).

Jinxed!!!
Just wondering, as it's last home game of the season and Europe's confirmed now, will we see any beach balls, etc.?
-
Albion Rovers.
I agree, surprised it wasn't mentioned earlier. This includes watching Hearts gub us 4-0 in the rain, Dundee Utd 6-1 in the cup and If you count Hampden (which should be neutral) Rangers 5-1 in the league cup final.

Is mentioning Craigans' O.G. record going against the spirit of this topic ?
McManus might beat that this year.
-
Ian Brines was another cunt of a referee, although he isn't as bad now.
JPR Gordon, but Stevie O'Reilly runs him a close second. The game last season mentioned above and Jennings getting sent off v Hearts in the betting scandal.
-
Never misse a game that season..remember steve mclellands over head kick against the bankies
Was it not Willie Irvine who scored with an overhead kick from outside the area?
-
Colin Meldrum anyone?..
Anyone know what happened to Cerny the ex-Accies keeper?
I always thought he was good and probably wouldn't be too dear.
-
Well it would to me. Motherwell do not beat Celtic twice in the one season.
In 1991 we beat them twice in one week. Tom Boyd scoring at Parkhead and then the semifinal.:yahoo:

Does anyone know if there is a pitch inspection planned? It's bucketing down here and not forecast to stop.
