I can't understand why we still maintain Topic "headings" on this forum any longer.

Anyway to get back to Clyde v Well.  Can we expect to see the 3 new guys on the team sheet.

I'm not strict on this type of thing, mainly because moderation already takes up enough of my limited time, topics weave back and forth and people can reminisce and tangents form, major tangents sometimes get a new topic but ultimately, I'm not dealing with it because I've done this for far too long to care now :D

From memory it's a bit hit and miss. Depends if any TV company is covering it as MFC TV uses the TV feed. If not, then we are dependent on a club's own coverage, and quite a few don't offer that. Although technology has made it easier.

I remember the days when folk would go live on facebook, wonder how long you'd last on twitch live streaming a game :D

Think we should keep to the title if this. Keep it current. Ins and outs. There's an ex players section.

Conversations meander from time to time, if you're expecting breaking news on a discussion forum...

I'm going to be on holiday in Spain. I know the game is going to be live on the Premier Sports streaming service, as opposed to the "proper" Premier Sports channel.

This could be a long shot, but what are the prospects of a bar being able to show the game?

    VPN on yer phone?

Depends on your definition of trolling.

Personally I am just posting my views on the upcoming game given the team we have available to us and the horrific pitch we’ll be playing on.

Just my opinion, based on nothing other than my own thoughts.

If that’s your definition of trolling then I’m guilty as charged.

Trolling - The name comes from trolling for fish, you post baited statements or opinions as fact and expect to hook unsuspecting posters into wasting their time responding. Pretty solid definition there.

Think the price tag probably affected him, was decent player but nowhere near worth that value

Everyone and their granny knew a rookie manager would be fleeced with his new wealth

Good post and yip Hendry was £200k, still not near the £350k mcleish paid for Shaun mcskimming

Shaun was probably worth the money, my Killie mate loved him and was gutted he left to us, signing him and keeping him on the bench was folly too

My grandpa was called Colin Hayton. He died in 1978 when he was 61 and he was working pretty much up till he was diagnosed with bowel cancer. He was diagnosed and he died within about six months.

He worked there most of his adult life as far as I'm aware.

My family lived in Airdrie originally and then lived in Hamilton and latterly in Motherwell - they had a tied house on shields road He was a Motherwell fan but pretty sure he didn't go to games often.

I wasn't at his funeral. I was 9 when he died, my family throught it would be best for me not to be there but a lot of people from Colvilles turned out - my mum said it was packed full of people he worked with. He was a fisherman and they named a trophy after him after he died

She just said she turned around at Daldowie and there was just so many people there from his work

He was a fabulous person. I still miss him terribly.

I think my dad had a fishing trophy from Clyde Alloy, don't think it was the Hayton one though, my dad knew him, he said he was a typical spark, became socially awkward when being asked to work (this is a taught technique, so I approve of your GF :D) Clyde Alloy Scotland/Motherwell buses were cracking fun

Thatcher privatised British Steel. While they might not be blameless if you look online there are people who think that was just paving the way for the closure

My grandpa worked for Colvilles in Shields Road at the Clyde alloy. He was an electrical engineer and his pay was poor for the job he did and the qualifications he had. They went out on strike for better conditions to no avail.

What was his surname? How long did he work there? Is he a well fan? My old man helped run the sports and social in the Clyde Alloy and buses were ran to Hampden regularly, my dad was there from 54'ish until he retired in 91

“Were you at the game caller”?

”Nah I wasn’t even in the country Jimmy”

    ”Okay…moving on”

Say what now? The orange cheeto couldn't have said it any better.
