  1. As dire as this was tonight I still hope that Robinson has an ace up his sleeve come the January window, we need someone to take over from Moult as what we have at the moment doesn't come close.

    Ojamaa

Good player for the team and a better piece of business by the board. All the best Henrik
  3. As my faither knew Joe Wark I was going to vote for him but for me it has to be Tom Boyd, absolute class. Still remember the '91 quarter final against Morton where he chased back made the slide tackle kept the ball in play to stop it going for a corner but the linesman gave a goal kick. Fantastic player and had great chemistry with one of Motherwell's best ever players Davie Cooper.
  4. The biggest problem I have with all of this is that the Ibrox hoards will not accept it was the their Directors fault that this happened. It wasn't the HMRC that dremt up the EBT schemes it wasn't Rapid Vienna or Hearts that made them agree to buy Jelavic or Wallace, it wasn't even the paper shop on the corner that begged them to buy their papers from him. It was the fault of Directors, past and present, that created the problem and just like most prisoners going to jail it was because of someone else not because of themselves. The legions will still not accept that is down to their leaders and this is why they are dead. As for voting, I have voted no as I belive they need to be punished / treated the same if it was any other team and quite probably more so to send out the correct message to other Scottish teams but also to the wider football world to say that we can govern ourselves with dignity and honesty. I also think that if the board of Motherwell do the right thing and vote no then there could be an overwhelming wave of support for them that will encourage people to attend more games and possibly even boost the 'Well Society becuase of the show of integrity and unity with their fans. If they vote yes then the total oposite i fear will happen.
  5. The rollercoaster is open for business, it has been been for 125 years let's hope it is open for many many more. I go to every home game and selected away matches, does this make me a true fan? I doubt it. I go because I want to. I have been supporting Motherwell all my life, attending games for two thirds of that. Am I always happy, rarely but there are moments that make all the downs bareable. '91, Skippy Sunday 6-6 V Hibs elation on a truly monumental scale. I'm not better than any other supporter whether the team play great or shite I will be there to applaud or deride as appropriate but I will be there and will be as long as I can afford to be. If you need to vent your feelings then get online and fill out the questionaire, make your points and you never know something constructive may come from it. Mon ra 'Well
  6. I can only hope that the pitch and the fact they have a cup replay on Wednesday could play a factor in this game but unfortunately I can see nothing but a defeat by 3 or 4 goals. This won't stop me attending and hoping against hope that something might happen that will favour the mighty 'Well.

    St Mirren

Couldn't really think that any one player stood out from the others so it has be a null vote. Pretty dismal display all round
  8. Steelmenonline league is set up on the Clydesdale Bank score predicter. If anyone wants to join send me your email address and I will send an 'invite' to you as per the sites instructions, all welcome.
  9. Randolph, for securing the three points with a few good saves and one top drawer stop at the end
  10. With Ross County having beaten Celtic in the semi-final it now means we have to finish at least fourth to get into Europe next season. Personally I feel we can do it, what do you all think? Well done to ex 'well duffers Derek Adams & Steven Craig.
  11. Couldn't honestly vote for anyone as I believe none of them get pass marks for the display today. United looked hungrier from the off and it seemed that we had ten men not them. Add in to that some dreadful finishing and woeful defending and there was only going to be one winner today. Even when we played against nine men on three occasions we didn't look capable of beating any team. As usual a big travelling support gets kicked in the teeth by a lacklustre performance by our team. There are no positives to take from today, let us hope it was a bad day at the office and that when Falkirk come calling on Saturday all the rustiness from the week off have been dispelled.
  12. Absolutly fantastic night. I was lucky enough to win a signed football via the envelope stuck to the underside of my chair. One of 26 (1 per table, I think), that was at the start of the dinner and it just got better as the evening progressed. All three speakers were funny and entertaining especially TC who also hosted the evening and kept it moving along at just the right pace so that the evening went perfectly to make sure it was a great night for Craigan. I haven't spoken to anyone that had a negative word to say about the whole event. Stephen Craigan deserves all the pluadits he receives for his service not only to Motherwell but football in general.
  13. Sutton for me. Good play throughout, got the vote for the winning goal.
  14. Scotland for me but what an awkward decision. Born in 1966, working for a company with a head office based in England and other European contacts it would be so sweet for all to bow down before me. Balanced against lording it over the bigot brothers and the rest of Scottish football I felt national pride was better than club achievement.

    Rangers

Tight between Craigan and O'Brien but I like forwards and positive play so plumped for Jim. He showed just how bad their defence was.
