Perhaps one that slipped through the net but he was released by Hamilton Accies midway through last season. By no means writing him off, just noting that one. Could well have been checking up on Mackin on loan at Alloa however as previously noted.

Jim Duffy certainly the option that appeals most to me right now. Whether we could actually get him on board though is another matter.

Young Scottish players leaving our league to play for English development teams. Some of these players will get to age 20/21 without playing any competitive football. While there may be a short term financial gain, it doesn't bode well for the future of Scottish football at club or international level.
Could that not depend on the player to an extent LD? If Motherwell has made their money on a 16 year old off to Stoke per say, and the player has attitude problems and doesn't develop to premier league and international level then really we've still done our part and brought him on enough in his early teen years to get the move that develops him on to a higher level.

Regardless of the fee or no fee for young Leitch, it can only be a good thing with English Premier League clubs taking our 17/18 year olds south. Will make the other clubs stand up and take notice and potentially see more follow suit if we're seen a club who can produce players for the teams in the category 1 compensation.
Could also motivate the other young players of that age to work for a similar move.

Do we know if Dylan Mackin has re-signed yet? I'm sure I saw his mugshot in the pre season training photos.
He's got a squad number assigned in the link a few posts down, would take from that that he's contracted to us.

At least we're back to having two strikers. Louis Laing potentially at full back could be worrying, players like Spittal and Dow could have him on toast all game!

Annoying we couldn't see that out after leading for as long as we did. Would've gladly taken a point before the game, not been the best hunting ground for us this season and last, however after the game gutted we didn't come away with all three.
