  1. Absolutely no chance of Fowler coming to Motherwell.

Not that he needs the money given his property portfolio.

He would put bums on seats though. Sell a few season tickets

He wasn't very popular at Cardiff couple of seasons back. Fans felt he was taking the wages but always seemed to be injured.

  2. Could do worse than look at Lee Trundle (ex Swansea & Bristol City). Can't understand how he's dropped out the League , went straight from Championship to Neath in Welsh Premier their top scorer & still looks fit. Saw him playing about 4/5 weeks ago.

  3. .

That's a good shout I for one widdnae mind seein him in claret & amber!!!

No chance. I've seen a fair bit of him down here he's had a good season. Reason for 'free' is that Cardiff are unwilling to match his demands and offer him a new contract same goes for Bothroyd to be honest don't see either of them at Fir Park next season.

  4. Craigan puts his heart n soul into every game and gets people around him playing he's a good captain. Distribution is shocking. But a good captain. As for reducing the goals against column? Line-up like we did against celtic on Sat and bring in a decent holding m/f player.

  5. I would have a few questions prior to investing. I was sure I saw John Boyle state last week that the club was 'bank debt' free which raises the question do we owe money to anyone else? If so who? Is there an agreement in place to pay back any funds and if so how much and over what period? Were funds invested previously in the club invested on the basis of loans? Does that mean that investors money could be used to pay back those loans / debt?

  6. I couldn't agree more, The two of them are as bad as each other and I would like nothing more if the S.F.A. told them to piss off and haunt some other league.

Well fans should stand well apart from them and show ourselves to be a class above. Celtic and Rangers are nothing more than two back street prostitutes who try to flog their arse off to the English F.A. at every opportunity. I'd love to see the two of them scrambling round the English lower leagues trying to pit their wits against .the likes of Welling United and Aldershot Town.

    Agreed

  7. True, true....but there comes a time where we will need to take back the offer as we need to fill that position with some quality for next season. I'd imagine/hope the search is underway. Another two weeks or so and Sutton won't and shouldn't have us as an option. In saying that he won't be stuck for offers and those sadly enough will be better, financially speaking, than what we can give him.

Talking of quality Chris Porter got a free from Derby!!!

  8. To all Well fans who made us scousers so at home on Saturday.Your wit and songs about jenno made us chuckle and we really had a ball except for the result.

To the lads in the Florida park who we shared a few good drinks with before the game and then the well fans again after the game in the church on the hill pub thanks again for making us very welcome.

There was60 of us up in total,I hope someone can post a link to the banner we held up before the game which read

    "Jennos scouse army"

If someone can post a picture of this it would be great.

Thanks again and chins up,You might have lost the final but youve gained another 60 well supporters and we hope to make it up to fir park next season

    Mon the well.

Saw your banner hope these images come out ok.

  9. Maybe some Motherwell fans just happen to be proud British citizens who hate Irish terrorism. Is it supposed to be only Rangers fans who feel like this??

And the relevance of this to fitba then is what?

    Mon the well.

Took a couple of pics of your banner from far side / behind goal. File too big to post on here as each pic is over 2.5mb. Willing to email though or if someone can let me know how to post here.

  11. Reading through some of the posts on this thread and I honestly cannot believe the amount of folk saying that they were 'proud' of that today.

Proud of what exactly??? We were awful today and got exactly what we deserved. Second to every ball, allowed Celtic to cut us open at will and offered nothing up front. 3-0 flattered us if anything.

And off the park we were equally shite as the atmosphere in the Motherwell end was non existant and not even a patch on the 2005 CIS Final or even the two semi finals from this season. Completely outsung by the Celtic support all day long and it felt like a normal run of the mill league game instead of a Cup Final.

I left as soon as the second goal went in and make no apology for it as I refuse to highlight and applaud such a poor performance.

Left as soon as the 2nd goal went in? I just hate people who do that and have the cheek to call themselves supporters.Real supporters support mate to the end!!!!!

  12. My Grandad & Dad, both gone now, took me to my 1st game a League cup section game in the 60's & we wupped Albion Rovers 6-0. Thought it would be like that every game! My Dad and I had season tickets for the then main stand in late 60's early 70's. Even into my 30's he'd turn up with things like especially made birthday cakes in the design of strip at the time. Latterly when he couldn't go the boys and I would stop by his house for rolls n sausage on way to game. I'll be thinking about that league cup game before k.o. on Sat.

  13. 3-2 at Fir Park, sending them oot the Scottish in the 3rd round,Bobby Graham,Ian Taylor and Pettigrew doing the damage.4-2 in the semi final quality memories indeed.

Tend to agree re 3-2 at Fir Park I think this was in 1974 & celtic had been 2-0 up. Might be my memories playing tricks but thats how I remember it! 4-2 in semi obviously still have the video & am at front as players come over to celebrate with the fans! Worthy of a mention is 1-0 win at parkhead where I seem to remember Vic Davidson scoring a 30 yarder from somewhere over near what was then the 'jungle'.

  14. Not the furthest but leaving Sth Wales, just to west of Cardiff, at 10am tomorrow with my son picking up other son in Crewe travel time c8 hours and just over 400 miles.

Slightly of thread here but son won't have Hampden 'steak' pie as he had one at semi & disputes their definition of steak!

Was there in '91 but as I lived in E/Kilbride then journey a bit easier!

  15. unashamed *bump*

I am loving this week :yahoo:

I've still got one piece of memorabilia apart from tickets n programme. The missus! She went in '91 but not this time. My 2 boys are going & they weren't around in 91.
