Clancy reminds me a wee bit bit of Brian McLean. He definitely has the attributes to be a good solid defender at our level. If he can keep his lapses in concentration to a minimium and curb his enthusiasm to get tore in about Old Firm players, we have a very capable centre half at our disposal.

 

Him and Hutchison are a very decent partnership.

 

He'll score for us on Sunday.

 

We need more players who will get stuck into the Old Firm.

 

 

 

[The Champions League Discussion Thread]

Hearts couldn't play UEFA Cup or Champions League football at Tynecastle due to the pitch size, which has now been rectified. Nothing else.

 

Otelul Galati played in the Champions League this season and their ground has a smaller capacity than Fir Park.

 

Otelul played their CL games this season at the National Arena in Bucharest which has a 55,000 seat capacity.

 

During the qualifying rounds games are often played at smaller stadiums but I think that once a club is playing in the group stages they will host matches at a larger ground to generate more revenue....that would be a great day if MFC had to make such a choice.

If Pink Floyd were coming to Fir Park I'd burn ma season book and start supporting Airdrie.

 

Like I say - I reckoned in the past that it wouldn't be that expensive - but one of the guys who used to post on here who seemed to be in that game reckoned it would be pretty expensive to replace particularly the cabling.

I think I'm right in saying tho that the system we are talking about here was upgraded in the past year. Aye I know I can't believe it either.

 

I'm in that line myself and to be honest if somebody was to throw a bill on the table for 100K I'd be sure to tell them to take back what they have put in, pack it back into their truck and not try and pull a fast one like that again.

 

I only mention PF due to their habit of using 'innovative' sound on tours which of course means more expensive. If they were throwing on a gig in my back yard I'd close the windows and shut the curtains.

Out of the OF, Celtic are the only team we can even get close too, its not impossible, they have not been winning for one reason they are playing utter shite, Yes Saturday we were not at our best but we came through to win.

 

What ever the team is doing its working.. whether individuals are players at thier best or not... leave the team alone and do what we have been doing and we are more than capable of winning the game.

 

 

 

Just amagine the feeling beating Celtic Sunday and going 7 points clear of them, and then Rangers going into administration and getting docked 20 points..... could be top of the SPL.... Heres to dreaming..... Come on Motherwell !

 

Would it not be 6points clear!! Either way a great feeling!
