I share your frustrations, but our grievance isn't with Clancy or whoever the VAR official was; it's with the absolute fucking moron that came up with the rule that VAR can't intervene in this specific situation. It's just unbelievable Clancy didn't send him off, but for some fucked up reason VAR can't intervene. These guys don't make the rules, they just have to follow them.

Every year with the "we'll finish in the bottom two" chat. Every year. In October we lost to Aberdeen, Hibs, Rangers & Celtic, three of which by one goal. We also put 5 past Ross County and beat Dundee Utd away from home. We also have a very favourable run of fixtures after the World Cup. Fresh knickers are required.

I also agree that it's a shambolic decision not to send off Gordon but VAR can't do anything about it.

Don't think we were/are anywhere near as bad as people making us out to be. We weren't particularly good today, but it wasn't quite the bombscare I'm reading. We were far FAR better with Moult and KVV through the middle with McKinstry drifting about in behind them, I'd like to see us continue with that. I'd also like to see us not let an opposition player run 30/40/50 yards with the ball resulting in a goal for the other team. I had initially said we would make the top six this season, but unless we can beat teams like Aberdeen/Hibs/Hearts once in a while it's unfortunately going to be beyond us. Not a chance we'll be in a relegation fight but unfortunately I can't see a top six finish any more. Really pleased to see Moult coming on after the chat of him seeing specialists/he might be done. He looks rusty as fuck but the movement/threat is there. Hopefully he can use the world cup to build up his fitness and we can get something from him for the rest of the season.

Would honestly rather we changed to 4-3-1-2 and had Tierney in behind McKinstrey and KVV. People have said Shields’ best position is a striker and we should wait until we see him played there but the cold hard truth is he’s just not cut out for this level. He’s a fast Bob McHugh. We badly need January to come or Moult to find fitness.

Yep, hindsight is a wonderful thing. Reinforcements are badly needed in January. Two quality attacking wide players, one of which can deputise through the middle, at an absolute minimum.

A very poor performance yesterday with the ball, just couldn’t keep it for whatever reason. Without the ball however I thought we were much better than the last few games. Dundee Utd rarely threatened in the second half despite us giving them the ball over and over again. Not our finest performance but up to 6th and 4 points off of 3rd isn’t bad at all. Tynecastle next is a big un. I don’t think we will be in the bottom four but if we want to be challenging for third we need to start doing better against the likes of Aberdeen, Hibs and Hearts, starting next weekend.
