UEFA don't allow it, but St Johnstone did it anyway against Rosenborg and as a result lots of neutrals went to it
Glad they did too, me and 2 others took a spur of the moment 180 mile round trip to go to the game. 22 quid at the gate. should be a good crowd on thursday regardless

Believe it or not I have NEVER been in the Electric Bar! Always used to go to JD's or the Social Club. Been going to the Cooper of late to try and give as much to the club as possible. However this seems like a good opportunity to try something new!
I normally spend a fortune on pies and bovril anyway, so the club is getting more than it's fair share from me these days

No doubt McCalls attitude and approach to Europe is very different this year.
Last year we were almost apologising for gaining a shot at a CL qualifier whereas the noises coming out of FP this summer are far more positive.
Sounds like Kuban are going to be far too good for us but with experience like McManus and McFadden and a more solid looking midfield, we are much better equipped to grind out a backs against the wall 1-0 than previous seasons.

There's 3 of us from down Saltcoats way, so not too far from Kilwinning or Irvine at all. Towards the end of last season and through preseason we have just been driving up but its a bit of a stoat and means only 2 out of the 3 of us can have a wee beer or two. I unfortunately also work most Saturdays so it comes down to trying for shift swaps or getting away early on Saturdays when there is a home game.

I've missed all the pre-season friendlies but the common theme from just about everyone seems to be we are sadly lacking in pace and width. 2 of the things that have made us so good the past 2 seasons.
I think we'll get gubbed over the 2 legs but Europe for me is the (dubious in this case due to logistics) reward for having a fantastic season previously. I'd rather avoid a Hibs-esque result all the same.
We don't have the resources to make a stab at Europe so as long as we take points against Aberdeen and Hibs in the opening 2 games that's the priority for me.
Looking forward to getting back to Fir Park, but a bit apprehensive about seeing this brand new team.
Aye, having watched 'Well all preseason I'm not too optimistic about Thursday. Sutton is not a reliable outball at the moment, struggles to take it in and hold it up and seems to struggle to win a header. Faddy will need to be a lot sharper. ZFA provides an outlet on the flank with a bit of pace and he seems to be a very willing runner which will probably be invaluable for carrying the ball up the flank and relieving a bit of pressure.
All we can ask is for the players to give it their all which I have no doubts about. A draw would be a fantastic result, a win would be something special. Decent crowd should provide the atmosphere these nights deserve

Aye, coming a wee stoat up from Ayrshire with the missus. Was at the Newcastle game and quite enjoyed it so hoping for a decent game against Forrest

Aye, the three of us made it up just in time for kick off. Disappointing result but beaten by a better team and can't complain too much. That big 99 they had upfront put the fear into me every time he got near the ball, thought he looked dangerous.
Might head up to the partick-dundee utd game 2moro night.....
