The club definitely were not forced into it.

No one is suggesting they were, at any point. They were happy to do it for the benefit of Scottish football, but that doesn’t mean they went offering to do it.

also what does it matter if we pump them on Saturday instead of Sunday?

Club said yes is that not volunteering

No that’s agreeing to a request, volunteering would be us going to them and saying “hey do you want us to request the game is moved so you can have more time for the European game?”

There's certainly multiple factors to consider.

Despite what GA said about playing him, I get the feeling TW might have been on the bench more often than not if he stayed. In which case, it was tying up a wage.

Also, if GA didn't think he had adequate cover in the striking department, it may have been a different story regarding his release.

GA also mentioned they had been aware of the possible situation since the summer and always have counter-signings planned.

If there is another signing planned, even if it's not a direct replacement, getting money now might help move things along.

Finally, GA and the club might be of a similar opinion to some on here that TW won't be as a big a goal threat at Utd as he was here.

It would have been good if TW had waited until the summer to announce his move, but while I'd have liked him to stay, I'm less concerned about losing him that I was about losing Louis Moult, as I feel we are better placed to cope without him. Time will tell.

His move was discussed on the last open goal podcast and one of the guys said Alexander told him he was free to leave in the summer. Tony always spoke really highly and consistently about Robinson which he’s never done about Alexander so I wonder if they weren’t overly fond of each other

I think you'll find it what I perceive the comment to be, not what you say forms the legal part. As for booting me off the forum, I have encouraged more discussion in the barren football weeks than any other poster ;). As for the game a score draw, that do you.

You’re honestly a prick of the highest order

Its quite basic human rights folks. People shouldnt be forced into something they object to on moral or medical grounds, simply because their government has decided that they should.  I get that its being promoted as for the greater good, but where is the evidence that it is necessary or will work?

It’s in literally every single clinical trial they’ve done for the vaccine

  6. Two very interesting comments by Alexander on Campbell and Gallacher. Speaks volumes about both players attitudes that we’ve done everything we can to keep Campbell but he’s not even spoken with Gallacher

Friend I'll say what I like, and nothing you say will change that. You have no idea where I have lived in the past, so making a stupid statement like that, knowing nothing of my circumstances is pretty sad.

Nah it’s not, what’s sad is you trying to belittle what is clearly a racist comment by saying POC use it all the time just to get a reaction. Maybe you should to what they’re saying? Or just crawl back under your little rock

The racist bit is used  at every opportunity, because they know people will react to it.

Maybe since you’ve got no experience as to what it’s like to live in a country that is institutionally set up to make you fail and to oppress you at every opportunity, you keep quiet on this one yeah?

I didn't know they do that ?  basically I dont think hes said anything derogatory, just that the boy was slower than he thought,  which is a bit of a back handed compliment

I bet he feckin regrets it tho. Something to debate on a non football day tho.

At the end of the day if the player in question felt it was racist we need to accept it was, even Ross has done that

nah, I still dont get why its " racist"....so he got the guys nationality wrong...its like mixing up an aussie and a kiwi , based on what we perceive to be similar accents .

Like I said earlier weve come a long way , but somebody having to resign because of this does nothing for the fight against racism....anyway mo ross took the decision,  he will probably be back at fp in time,  when ga gets international job....you heard it here first.

It’s racist because he’s never saying it if he’s a white guy. He’s perpetrating a racial stereotype that black players doctor documents to make them younger.

Really happy with Alexander at the moment, however REALLY REALLY concerned for next year if handing out contracts to utter pish like Jobby Crawford is gonna be the extent of our squad! We already have Donnelly, O'Hara & Maguire contracted for next season, we need 1 or 2 QUALITY additions in CM, and by Quality I mean someone able to pass a ball to a teammate, and maybe score now & again. Again same with Mugabi! We are stuck with dross like Lamie & McGinlay next year, Im not convinced Mugabi is anything other than a backup so that means we  still need at least another 2 good quality CD.

I’d much rather Alexander handed out contracts than listen to the opinion of a grown man calling him Jobby Crawford, grow tf up ffs

  12. The Erwin chat has irked me slightly as I did rate him as a player.

I'm possibly cutting my nose off etc but we weren't good enough for him too stay a further couple of seasons to develop his game before getting a move, but now he gets no game time he could come back on loan.... To develop his game.

Of course I know financially it made sense for him to have went when he did but just a little bit of me is saying, well if you had stayed another year, had a season like Louis Moult you would have been due a bigger move, made us more money and been better placed too start at your new club so bolt.

    Petty yes I know.

I totally agree with this, Moult will also put in more of a shift and score way more goals that Erwin ever will. I would also rather take a gamble on Moore or Mackin should Moult or McDonald get injured. Why would we help him out to get better and then maybe move a at from Leeds when we wont gain financially from it?

  13.

We're bracing ourselves for offers? The club have been peddling him since January, the club is hardly sitting about in fear, what rubbish reporting.

  14. Is he not saying they were deliberately trying to cut it up (as opposed to doing a genuine warm up)?

In the Aberdeen case they were definitely trying to cut up the park rather than warm up

  15. Him and McGhee got into a massive argument with McInnes just before the second half kicked off as he was trying to fix the wing and Aberdeen were making their guys do sprints to cut it up. He was ragin with them and the 4th official had to pull him away
