I think this will be a struggle and unless we bring in some new additions between now and then we’ve no right to expect it to be anything else.
Clyde 2 Motherwell 0
There is no way you aren't trolling now, simply no way 🤣

Does anyone seriously think that we would be in a position to turn down an offer of anywhere near £4.5m if we got one?
And does anyone seriously believe that if offered the chance Miller wouldn’t go to Celtic for what would be life changing money and the opportunity to win silverware and play in the Champions League??
Because if there is anyone who thinks either of the above then it’s time to wake up and smell the coffee.
I honestly don't think he would go to the goldfish bowl that is the Old Firm.
Its been made clear that his preferred option is abroad and im almost certain that is where he will end up.
I also think that given some of the numbers quoted and the fact that he is now a capped Scotland player, 4.5mil is pretty low for him....................the question of "would Motherwell turn that sort of money down for him" is another matter.
I would be extremely surprised if he were to be wearing a Celtic top next year. Miller would get the sort of money Celtic would be offering at any of the clubs that have been mentioned and regardless of the European football aspect, he would be playing at a far better level week in week out if he were to choose outside of Scotland.

The green uglies fans seem to think they will be able to sign Miller for £4.5 million, hes played his last competitive game for Motherwell they say, hmmm I can definitely smell shite 🤔
I would question the sanity of those in charge if they accepted 4.5mil from Celtic for Miller.
I cant see that happening at all let alone him wanting to go to them

Just because we’ve “got there” in the past doesn’t mean that we will get there this time around.
The reality is that we are probably due to be relegated, overdue perhaps. I am not one of these Motherwell fans who sees us as this tinpot nonentity that are smaller than clubs like Falkirk, Dunfermline, Morton etc and who no doubt would be in favour of us merging with Accies “for the good of the Scottish game” and all that nonsense…but given the level we operate at the budget available to us and that clubs who are undoubtedly bigger than us have been relegated more than once during our 40 year stay in the top flight then it’s inevitable sooner or later.
Looking at our current situation, a poor squad bloated with guff and devoid of quality and a manager in place who - in my opinion - was the wrong choice of appointment and won’t last the season with us then that for me points to this season finally being the one where we are relegated.

Who’s pissed themselves or gone insane on here?
The over-the-top jibes aimed at those of us who dare to use a fans’ forum to offer balanced criticism and praise of the team are pathetic. It’s a tired, lazy trope at this point.
I don't think it is a balanced criticism based on the evidence in front of us.
Its the managers first game (he has been in place a couple of weeks) we have lost quite a few players (thank god in some cases) he has a couple of new signings, we aren't fit, we are playing against a FAR superior team in every single aspect, he wont know his best team or formation and he will bring in his own players given time, some of the doomsday comments already on here has hit a new low.
These games are about trying things and experimenting, nothing can be drawn from them!!!!
So if the perfomances are the same in mid October, then fair enough.

Its quite quiet on the Miller front.
I think that leaves us in a pickle....
1- He plays pre-season but wont really be part of the plans as he will be gone
2- he gets injured and doesn't go anywhere
I hate to say it but the quicker he is gone the more settled the team will be

Appears we are looking at Ademola Ola-Adebomi from Crystal Palace as a forward option

I see Scott Tiffoney is leaving Dundee. I wouldn’t mind him coming along to fir park. He’s always gave us bother, pacey winger who creates quite a bit.
It appears most of their squad have turned down contracts!!!!

I liked him to be fair, always had a mistake in him right enough

Thats Casey gone!!!!

Hopefully we have a wee word in Ronan Hale's ear on Sunday to join us if County go down.
It wouldn't be terrible if we could get Noah Chilvers from them as well
Totally agree with the Hale comment, the guy appears to work his socks off and has talent, id bite Ross County's hand off if he were available!!!!

Im looking forward to MW getting the chance to get his own players in as I must admit, I feel sorry for him a tad, trying to get a tune out of some of these players, it must be hard to come in when he did with little or no options to immediately change things as he was burdened by SK's mess.
I don't know what it is though but I just don't get the feeling MW will stay with us long but hopefully im wrong and he has a long successful spell with us!!!!!!!!

It's worth looking at how the Americans at St Johnstone are getting on, selling their stadium naming rights and only announcing it via the CEO's linkedin page at midnight, selling 3/4 of the stadium to the OF (moving ST holders, without consulting them) allowed there pitch to be massacred by a guy that has now pranced about Easter Road in a Hibs top after a 3-0 loss.
But aye. Well Society bad, investment good.
So all investment is bad then just because you choose to point out failings in St Johnstone's model (in your opinion)
Im sure if you give people 5 minutes they could point to many good investments that have driven clubs forward
Id love the Well Society to work, the dream of fan ownership and taking the club forward through inward investment and initiatives is what we all want, but the reality is, the fanbase is small, there is no getting away from that fact.
Im also confused by your comment, as the current Well Society board WILL be looking for investment.
What people on here are pointing out is the fact that a comedy nights and some bucket money collectors at a game isn't exactly mind blowing stuff, well meaning yes, mind blowing strategy.........no.
Whats going to happen on here is, people who can see no wrong in the Well Society will attempt to demean people who don't think a soley fan based model is the right thing to do and they will do so by typing things like your last sentence and also point out any investments which they think prove their point which doesn't really prove anything.
To move forward, get better players, facilities, matchday experiences etc, the club does need investment, otherwise we will at best stand still.
That may not look like the EB proposal (which I wasn't a fan of to be clear, you can look back on that thread if you wish) but we do need a partnership of both inward and outward investment to grow.

I think we must be missing something.
Whats been done, although slightly out of the box, is something a local bowling club would do to raise funds.
I think its thus far been pretty poor

O'Donnell must have pictures of someone high up 😄From reading the article it seems that extension clauses have been triggered.
Wimmer speaks very highly of O'Donnell

Safe to say Balmer should be resigned to being a sub for the rest of the season
Ive said it on here before..........the guy gives me the fear every single time I see his name in our starting 11
