For a game that carried so much pre-KO, that has to be one of the most "insiped" matches I've ever witnessed. Neither team looked as if they wanted to win it and fear stifled any invention at all. Absolute pish - from both teams.
Not here to defend him - but is he responsible. I always thought his role was to "identify" targets - after that the "football department" and ultimately the manager made the call on the signing.
Not just the result - but the performance, thought the midfield of Miller, Slattery and Andrews were superb. The 2 young lads showed composure way beyond their years,
Sitting in the Cooper gives a great view of the tactical set-up and throughout the last 3 managerial appointments the game has been squeezed and played completely in half the width of the park. So nice and refreshing tonight to see the game stretched and both wing backs moving wide as soon as Balcombe had the ball.
Much better - lots of burst baws out there at the end. Special mention to SOD - I’ve been a huge critic of his but credit where it’s due, thought he was excellent tonight.
Exactly this - none more so than any manager and I’ve seen a few since Bobby Howitt and certainly none than most other supports had out on a weekly basis. Good job he never managed Airdrie and had to make the long walk along the stand at Broomfield, he wouldn’t have lasted a week. Pure smokescreen.
