  1. When i went to exchange my voucher a fortnight ago, i was asked which stand i wanted my ticket for.

I was asked too, but when I said East I was told the vouchers were for the Phil O'Donnell....

Oh well...Thanks for the offer David, but I need to keep the 2 together so would really need to be 2 tickets to swap. Appreciate the offer though.

  2. Don't actually know why I was taken to a Motherwell game, but my dad took me one night and expected me to hate it. I loved it, but he was losing interest in football and didn't see why I would want to go. I started tagging along with my uncles and have been hooked ever since and still enjoy their banter at Fir Park every home game.

  3. What about you falling right on yer arse just after the bus left? Or getting left in Bellshill?

Was a great night right enough. Bus was superb. More of the same please in the next draw.

I fell several times in Marks and Spencers car park....don't even know why I was there!!

And here's that bus pushing photo..

  4. Van Hooijdonk scoring the only goal at Parkhead at what seemed to be about midnight was a bit of a sickener, as was just about every time we've gone out of either of the cups since 1991. Celtic equalising to make it 4-4 (Beattie I think) hurt aswell.

Although I have to say the worst one for me was Nancy at home. A bigger damp squib there has seldom been.

Strangely enough, that's mine too. Been to plenty worse games, but for some reason that really got to me.

  5. Spent an entire day 1-1 with Davie Cooper while working at his house, he didnae want to train and I din't want to go to my next job, so I spent the day with Coop having tea and toast. It was the day after we beat Celtic in '91 cup semi.

A total gent of a guy and sound as fuck, he bumped my boss for the job too, that elevates him to legendary status anyway, but any time I saw him afterwards while working at Fir Park or out and about he always said hello or bought a round. He was top class.

Apart from that there are hunners of others, been extremely fortunate to have met my heroes and none of them have been pricks (except Kirkie, who was a prick in and around Fir Park but has made up for it in recent years and even admitted as much in conversation)

He was my favourite player to have met too! B-)

  6. Seconded. There's a lot of good work that goes on behind the scenes that folk don't know about. Out of sight out of mind I guess.

I do believe that there is a huge amount of 'behind the scenes' work going on that we don't know about. However, as others have said, what the fans do know about is what happened on Tuesday night and this is putting the club in a bad light. I don't agree with the way that the stewards dealt with the fans at the game at all and Motherwell should be doing something about this. Nobody from the club has made any comment about the stewarding at the ICT game and whilst I understand what 'Flow is saying, rather than tell us how well various people are working at the club, tell us what we actually want to know. Tell us why the stewards were being unnecessarily heavy handed on Tuesday and what is going to be done to get things back to how they were the first couple of games of the season.

  7. I do understand that some people won't like others standing in front of them, blocking their view. Although I do think most of those standing would be courteous enough to realise this. However, I think the main issue here is the stewarding. Most in the East Stand, I'm sure, would sit down when asked etc, but not when we are spoken to as we were on Tuesday night. Respect is a two way thing and to speak to and treat people the way the stewards did on Tuesday night, they must only expect their job to get harder at future games. Problem is though, they will just continue to tell supporters to leave until something is done or the club step in and listen to what the fans are saying.

  8. There was a lot more younger folk there on Tuesday probably due to the reduced prices. Something which, yes is good for Motherwell, but I did find it a bit annoying at times. Thing is though, if they are there to support Motherwell and create a bit of atmosphere then let them do that.

The folk I saw getting chucked out had not done anything wrong. One steward in particular was on a massive power trip it seemed and was practically hanging about the same group of boys all night in the hope to chuck more out. There was absolutely no need for it.

I understand the stewards have a job to do etc, but at the end of the day, some common sense is needed and for someone to be escorted from the ground for saying 'Am no wee' is ridiculous.

Was it different stewards on Tuesday from other games at Fir Park this season? The last couple of games were fine with plenty atmosphere and even some standing at times

  9. What a fantastic trip!

Thanks to all the Llanelli fans and staff for making the day so enjoyable. Bus journey down was pretty tiring, but the banter helped a good bit and after a couple of drinks at the Fan Zone the tiredness disappeared.

Great seeing so many 'Well fans make the trip down and it was all very well organised.

As others have mentioned, would be nice to have a friendly down at Stebo - lovely wee ground.
