That really made me laugh. Brilliant.

Ever thought of getting a job in MI5?
Wouldn't want to give up my job with the CIA.

i was giving massive props to the minority motherwell supporters who turned out to support the team this afternoon.
it was a rainbow co-allition of well fans at the stade de gadd.
I noticed that. They were sitting in the row in front of me and my dad. I had a feeling they were Celtic fans and watched them when our players came out. No reaction at all. That said they didn't react to Celtic's goals but I did have a sly look at their phones when they were looking at texts or Facebook. Nothing overly controversial but about 15 minutes before the end one showed his mate a text which said "leave now". Very strange.

Remember it well. How about Gerry McNee's comment when Bobby Russell scored? "He's a player who seems to take great delight in scoring against Celtic".
Possibly the most paranoid and thinly disguised bigoted comment ever from a commentator.

Surely he can't be, he just came back from his suspension for this game? I think it was las that was running the risk of suspension, and not Jenno as mentioned earlier.
From what I can tell Jennings was booked against Dundee and Stranraer, so he missed the first tie against Dundee United. He played in but wasn't booked in the replay. So his booking today should not mean a further suspension?
Motherwell were awesome again today - destruction inside 15 minutes and the game was won.
Delighted for Stuart McCall and the players - see you at Hampden in 5 weeks time.

What a bunch of utter torn faced c***s on this forum, I support Motherwell Football Club not individual players, managers, owners.
He has had the chance to do the square root of fuck all yet and some of the dicks on here want the guy out. If he is brave enought to pick up the batton of managing MFC then welcome aboard Stuart maybe he is doing us more of a favour that we are doing him. At lot of the arseholes on here have an elevated opinion of MFC and what is has to offer.
He, the current players, the players yet to come have my full support.
FFS get a grip.
Finally........some sense

Not too keen on it myself..........

Woah there. Don't even start that rumour. I'd HATE, absolutely DETEST seeing him back as a number 2 nevermind as gaffer. I'd imagine (although I'm convinced it won't happen) that such an appointment would have some people refusing to go back.
Don't shoot the messenger!! Just relaying what I read.

Latest from Scott Burns is that Scott Leitch has spoken to John Boyle, but not about the manager's position. According to Burns, Leitch would jump at the chance to take over from Brown but the club need to make the approach.
Watch this space?

I would rather we took another couple of weeks, if that is what is needed, than appoint someone out of panic.
I take your point about not panicking but another couple of weeks could be seriously damaging - we have looked a completely rudderless ship in the two games since Brown walked out and unless someone who can stem this is appointed soon we could be very quickly sucked into the bottom six - we're almost as near third bottom as we are third top - and it's not so long ago we were looking comfortable in third. The rot was beginning to set in, which may explain Brown's haste, but if it's not stopped soon we're looking at a difficult few months.
A safe pair of hands who knows the club or the SPL is required right now - my suggestion is Tommy McLean or Jimmy Calderwood.

Today's Herald reports that Neil McDonald has withdrawn his interest. Doesnt think this is the right move for him.
Strike 2.

On BBC Twitter feed that Brown has resigned.

How many penalties have we missed in 2010? It feels like quite a lot. My memory might be playing tricks on me.
Was Jim O'Brien's miss in 2010? Forbes v Hibs. Hateley today. Did Hateley miss one before today?

BBC site seems to be playing up - took a few attempts to get into the minileague page or get it to save my predictions.

who in their right mind would wade in amongst an adrenalin/alcohol/chemical infused crowd of testosterone fuelled males and ask them to stop singing???Gies a break!!!
Spot on. Look what happened to Mr Miller at Llanelli.

Guessing game is going on over on the Ins and Outs thread - don't know if anyone really knows. Accies have been mentioned.
Would be surprised if it's a loan move - if Hammell is not in Gannon's plans now I don't see a loan move changing his mind about him.

Wonder if those responsible for the chants and the misguided efforts to defend them will feel so smug if these possible repercussions are applied :
Aberdeen Evening ExpressIt is understood that match delegate George Douglas will include the incidents in his report to the SPL.
The matter will then be referred to the SPL board, which has the power to deal with unacceptable conduct through punishments including reprimands, fines and even points deductions.
Considering we got our place in Europe through the Fair Play award (which was based upon favourable reports from match delegates) it's all just a bit sad.

Totally agree Steve.
Really disappointed with the element of our support which chose to sink to a new low in chants at a football match. Would be interesting to know how JG felt about that chanting after the praise for the fans at Perth.
Embarrassing, OTT and for the first time in my life I'm ashamed to be associated with that type of "support".
We've all had a bit of fun with the ribbing/chastising of Muttley since he left (I'm as guilty as the next man) but I think it's time we all moved on and focus on life under JG - Muttley is just another ex-manager along with Malpas, Butcher, Black, Davies etc etc.

Lost count of the number of times he refers to himself in that article. Incredible ego the man has.
Cannot understand though his comment about not having the desire to build a new team at Motherwell. How many times has Sir Alex built a new team at Old Trafford - or closer to home, how often did Tommy McLean do it? That's why Muttley will never be a top manager.
Stuart.
-
No way was Jutkiewicz ever on Muttley's radar - so that's a total non starter.
Reading what he has said in the various interviews ahead of tomorrow's match, it is clear that he will try to take the credit if we win.
While I was for the most part a supporter of McGhee during his time here, I look back particularly at the last 6 months with nothing but contempt for him. As far as I am concerned he can go and take a phuk to himself.
Hope we royally shaft them.
Stuart.
