  1. Thought the custodian just paid the signing on fees for them and they were on the payroll thereafter?
  2. Guys like George Peat are everything that's wrong with Scottish football. Total chancer, ran Airdrie into the ground (actually...George = good guy??) then buggered off to Stenhousemuir so he could stay on with the SFA as treasurer at the time. Always gives the impression of being totally out of his depth and tends to speak without first engaging his brain. He really should have resigned after the whole youth football debacle earlier in the season. Well done to Noah for not missing him.

    Canterbury

There's quite a decent Canterbury shop here in Brisbane and they sell all the kits that they make - have all the ones mentioned in this thread in there. Will be quite cool to be able to pop in and get the new Dossers top.
  4. I don't think Brines is biased, he's just a terrible terrible referee. I don't think it's ideal, however, for a guy to be 4th official the week before and then refereeing a game involving one of those teams the next week.
  5. Today's super soaraway Sun is reporting the SPL will be meeting about the pitch etc on Thursday... Blundersoil heating
  6. The Beach End at Pittodrie when Kirky scored THAT goal was pretty special as well.
  7. Really hit and miss mate website wise, just check on here to see if anyone sticks anything up online. Setanta here's pretty good though so you get any live games on there (including Old Firm home games which can't be shown in the UK - watched the Simon Lappin game live in the Brisbane CSC, which was a lot of fun!) plus they show the Full SPL and SPL Press Box etc etc. The Nancy games were on Setanta as well, but delayed transmission so had to rely on justin.tv for them. Also, the Tartan Army Down Under have quite a big presence in Perth with large turnouts for the games. Check on the website for the venues for the games next month. TADU website
  8. Andy Devlin's saying his agent has suggested he stays put til the end of his deal with us. McGhee's trying to convince him otherwise... Cardiff is best Port of call
  9. I'd heard a whisper about that as well...
  10. McGhee's sounding pretty bullish in advance of the game... McGhee Still Hasn't Given Up On Third Place

    Chris Porter

    From the BBC rumour page
  12. On the subject of St John - thought this was a good read in the Sun
  13. Haven't seen this elsewhere on here, thought it was as appropriate a place as any for it. Initially saw this on P&B, makes for some quite amusing reading... Take it all with a massive pinch of salt
  14. Don't forget McPherson and Levein, the slyest centre half pairing about in their day. Cusack should have hit McPherson harder!

£22 to watch that is a joke, anytime of year, never mind in the current financial climate. Just seems ridiculous to be shafting Killie fans when we're bending over backwards to get the bigots into our ground. Killie were one of the clubs that participated in the short lived reciprocal arrangements we had in place for season ticket holders a few years back were they not? Plus their pies are magic.

I think you answered your own question there on the subs!

What were the prices tonight? Were there any incentives in place for people to come to a game on live telly just before Christmas?
  20. Have the Trust ever raised the issue of stewarding at Fir Park?
  21. I know the feeling, I thought I would miss it a lot more than I have since I've been away. Miss the routine of it all, beers with my old man before it, seeing folk I only see from one game to the next etc, but watching that brought back a lot of memories of 06/07 where I was seriously thinking about wrapping it. And to make it worse, I had to set my alarm for 5.30am to watch it and I've now got a day's work to do, no option of straight to the pub to try and forget all about it.
