  1. When asked about fans on the pitch I would have loved an answer of "I didn't see any fans on the pitch. And that's the Gospel Truth"

Maybe not wholly appropriate but would have been hilarious.

  2. Would be great if Skippy stayed but his family are in London, so probably look to head back, hope i'm wrong though

He was as good as on a plane back to Oz before we stepped in. As much as I would love him to stay I feel we should be investing in younger players with resale value.

Would we not be better trying to secure players such as Erwin who potentially could bring the club a good transfer fee in the future?

  3. Dunno if it has been mentioned but did anyone see Erwin's behaviour at the penalty? He grabbed the ball, refused to give it up and slammed it down in a huff when he didn't get to take it. I thought he was a gurny bastard all day, could've played a teammate in a few times. Sign of a winner I spose!

Also thought Skippy's handling of the above incident was class.

I wasn't too bothered about that. Like you say, shows he's a winner and desperate to score. As soon as Skippy stepped in an manager said Sutton he stepped away. Ok so he slammed the ball down but we'll let him off with that.

You're right though he did seem in a mood all game ? Maybe learning off Skippy !

  4. Thats the part that gives me serious concerns, if the WS have the majority of directors then they control the board and its decisions and by implication all aspects of the clubs business. The main issue i have with this is that those "board members " from the WS may not have any experience at all in running a business, improving the clubs finances etc and in these austere times thats not what a club like motherwell needs.

If the elected board members from the WS have business experience then fair enough and we can judge them on their achievements, but i remain unconvinced that this will be the case. Being a good fan, working hard for the WS, organising functions etc are not the desired attributes for runing a multi million pound business.

Remember a number of current board members are probably WS members so they would most likely continue as things are now.

It's not like we're going to have Betty who works the checkout at Lidl Wishaw running things just because she's a WS member.
