  1. if he keeps the good performances coming then i'll admit i was wrong.

however one swallow doesn't make a summer and playing well last night doesn't change his performances earier on in the season. he's benefitting from us being less reliant on using him as an outball and teams playing deeper because of ojamaa's pace.

fair play bumping this thread up just now but i could have bumped it up after his poor performances against morton, st mirren and united recently or after he missed an empty net again on saturday.

let's come back to this when the good performances outweight the stinkers.

I've thought higdon has been essential to us this season, his link up play fits in well with how we play and his hold up play means we can go down the middle as well as down the wings. You seem to be focusing too much on the goals. I'd say his finishing hasn't been that great at times this season, which has been a bit frustrating, but he's still our top scorer.

  2. I'd feel a lot more comfortable about this thread if it had come after a midweek win against Hibs!

I think we should concentrate on consolidating our third position first before we look ahead of ourselves. If we can win midweek and go 12 points clear then I think we should feel comfortable enough about finishing 3rd to look ahead of us. If we don't take the points midweek then it only takes a couple of poor result to feel the pressure again.

Personally I don't see the administrators getting rid of Rangers better players since they are sellable assets and suspect it will a lot of youth players and maybe poorer fringer players that go so in order to finish second I think it will be more down to the attitude of Rangers as much as anything we do. The Kilmarnock result though gives a hint that perhaps moral is low down Ibrox way.

With 11 games to play their is still a lot than can go for or against us. What I think we really need to do is get the heads down, get points out the next few few league matches and if we can do that we have Rangers at our place on the 31st March.

Then we will have a better idea of what the situation is.

Morals have always been low at ibrox.

  3. Would love sutts to stay, would be a shame if he moved on as I feel motherwell is about the right level for him, if he went to hearts he'd have to compete with Kyle as I don't see them both playing in the same team.

I can still see Craig brown trying to sign up all our players who are out of contract.

  4. Fuckin prick collum. Pen for jostling at a corner. Will be interesting to see that on the telly. We've conceded some really soft pens this season st johnstone, Celtic, kilmarnock. If it turns out this one is the same we'll be due decent luck soon.

  5. To be fair our pitch has been a well known shambles for a while. You only have to watch highlights of a game on tv to see that, so someone bangin on about it on the radio ain't gonna change anyone's opinion. Rather the high scorin games there have been at fir park over the years are a better reason that would get ppl along. 6-6 was played on that pitch, that's a lot more likely to draw in neutral/away fans than some knobber on a radio show.

  6. Gettin used to this European stuff, would love to make it 4 in a row. Who wants preseason friendlies when u can have euro qualifying rounds instead. Hope we can somehow sneak the last qualifying spot again, maybe by someone above us winnin the cup. As for the rest, think hearts and aberdeen will improve this season, hibs and united may not fair so well. St johnstone made a lot of signings too so could do pretty well as they have a useful manager.

Killie mirren or Hamilton for the drop. We could have problems if are hurt by injuries etc.
