All I will say is our record away from home against other Top 6 clubs is abysmal. He Managers tactics/selection also saw us wimp out of 2 cup competitions. The only things we can realistically win. Let's not get carried away with JBA. He has achieved nothing apart from pleasant on the eye tippy tappy football which teams are getting wise to. There is no steel in the team. There is never plan B. He plays the same guys over and over again. Guys like Nicholson, McGee get about 10 to 15 minutes of play when the game is running away from us. Use of substitutes is not good. The only time yesterday we broke their lines was the consolation goal. Apart from that it was the usual slow pass to death build up combined with Kamikaze dithering at the back. There is nothing wrong with getting the ball forward quick but this seems anathema to JBA. So we get a Top 6 finish. The team we played yesterday also have a Top 6 finish and a winnable cup semi after getting promotion from the Championship. I would say John McGlynn has been a more effective manager than JBA. Motherwell fans need to get realistic about what has been achieved instead of drooling over passing drills.

To be honest the past 4 games have been a shambles. Askou has no need to worry about his next move. It won't be a big club. No plan B. Too lightweight all over the park. Slow buildup play giving opposition time to get back and organised. Ultimately a season that has produced disappointing performances in big games. Players just don't have it mentally. Every time Falkirk go forward they look as if they can score. We are lucky it's only 3.
-
We will just have to disagree
-
Said caused the first goal. He should have hooked it over his head and cleared it. Instead he plays a short pass which starts the whole farce.
-
We are critical of teams like St Mirren big, strong and physical. We are the complete opposite but we are crying out for a degree of physicality in our team.
-
How the fuck Said lasted as long before being hooked is a mystery. Offers nothing. Oh wait he does. Loses possession and always passes to the opposition.
-
Between last week and this bubble is well and truly burst. Said, Sparrow and Maswhansie totally anonymous. Like playing with 8 men.
-
No team deserves anything, but they did what we couldn't do scored twice. Simples really.
-
Yes. Because you can go through your whole life and see your team winning nothing of note. St Mirren supporters will remember winning the cup for the whole of their life. Just like those who saw us winning in 1991.
-
They scored twice, had the ball in the net but fortunately for us it was offside. They also rattled the underside of the bar. So obviously they deserved the win.
-
Spot on. Football is about winning things. We like all the teams outside of the bigot brothers have only two cups we can win. So would I swap our season for St Mirren. You better believe I would.
-
Today. Dundee had just over 30% possession. They scored twice. Had a goal chalked off for offside and hit the underside of the bar. That's being efficient. Too many times we don't turn possession and touches in the opposition box into goals. We need more strength in the midfield to win tackles. Too many times Dundee easily won the ball in the midfield and broke forward. We need to find ways to win scrappy physical games. The balance between finesse and strength is not quite right. We are a better footballing team than Dundee for sure but we need to add some physical strength.
-
Poor performance. Did we have a shot at goal apart from free kicks? To be honest you could have subbed anyone today. Maybe some of them like Maswhansie and Just believing the press hype that appeared this week with talk of big moves. I am afraid that Dundee wanted it more and thoroughly deserved the win. That's three times we have bottled it when it really mattered. Twice in the cups and then today. Had to feel for Priestman. Comes on as a sub and then gets subbed. Especially when Just was screaming to be subbed today

Two defeats in the cup are down to the manager. The only two competitions we have a chance of winning. Will crowds drop? Possibly. Cup runs keep the enthusiasm high and given we are guaranteed top 6 finish it's possible. As for last night. I personally think the ref and VAR going by previous outcomes in games got them correct. Others will differ. For all the possession we have in games the goals scored are paltry. We have signed Hendry, Stamatelopoulos and now Björgólfsson as a striker. The first two are nowhere good enough. Haven't seen enough of Björgólfsson to judge. We certainly don't play to his strengths. Last night when we got in good positions to put the ball in the box it was pass backwards, sideways and recycle the ball. He got no service even when it was 10 v 10. He showed his Ariel ability against Rangers with his lay off for the goal but not once did we get the ball in the box. Taking him off was another mistake because when we were down to 9 and got a corner we were forced to take short corners because we had no physicality in the box. All in all between the starting line up and choice off subs it was not a master class by the manager.
-
What do I know, we just did. That puts me back on my box.😂😂😂
-
Looks like another weak insipid performance. Just carried on from the semi final. Powder puff, can't defend and create fuck all.
-
Looked through the squad and in my opinion these players can be kept. The rest can be let go. Longello Welsh (only on loan) Koutroumbis (bench player) Slattery Watt Fadinger Just Sparrow (bench player) Maswanhise Hendry (not seen enough of him to judge) Cook (bench player) Said We need goalkeeper, right back, two central defenders, ball winning tackling midfielder and two strikers. That's a first team squad of 19.
-
JBA was a defender as a player. Hired by Sparta Prague as their defensive coach. He got sacked. Says it all really. Another coach who can't set up a defense and fails to realize that Liam Gordon is shite. Subbed at half time. Was totally bullied by Mandron. Don't worry he will play him in the next game.
-
Start with players in the midfield that can actually tackle and win a ball. Also fed up to fuck with manger who continually only plays one up front. Take Maswanhise's goals away and we are down where Livingston are. If he doesn't score we are in trouble on any game.
-
Our manager needs a total rethink. No experience of Scottish football. Master class from St Mirren. We were out thought, out fought and ultimately out scored by a long way. Scottish football is all about physicality and we don't have it.
-
Total shit show. Our players couldn't tackle a fish supper. Bullied all over the park.
-
Another let down for nearly 10,000 well supporters. We didn't create one solid chance. No penetration. Too lightweight and don't get forward quick enough. Supporters should get their money back.
-
Is this guy watching the same game as me. He says "The performance was ok. Everything was fine". We deserve top 6!!!! Who is he trying to convince. Another manager who says we are training well. Then another shit performance. Totally deluded.
-
2 wins in our last 12 games says it all. New manager bounce is now as flat as a pancake. Still seems to be hoof ball regardless of who our manager is. We didn't even manage a single shot on target. In all honesty bottom 6 is what we deserve. God help us in the split. I am struggling to see where our next win comes from. We toil game after game. No pace in the team, no creativity, we can't keep the ball, we simply hoof it up the park. Basically we are shit.
