  1. Looks to me as if most of the problems are behind the scenes, players just dont go shite overnight and looking at ours it is as if they have no fight, passion or desire to work for the current manager.

Also the apathy about the place looks as if it has affected they playing staff for whatever reaons and imo thats been the case since start of the season .

If and its a big if we survive in the SPFL i hope there is a clear out from top to bottom including Burrows and Barraclough

  2. If the beer and atmosphere inside is any good can only be a good thing for the punters going for a few pints on match days.

Lets be honest the Cooper suite is not the best as the lager is rank rotten, seating is not the best and if not in early your standing , bar staff really slow when its busy, its always boiling hot inside it and no atmosphere in it.

So if new owner makes a good go of it im sure it will be worth a visit .

  3. Sorry if in wrong forum ( if it is please feel free to remove )

Got 2 season tickets books for East stand 1 adult 1 juvenile if anyone wants the vouchers out of them for the Aberdeen game on Sunday and also the Kilmarnock game on the 17th Jan.

Cant make Sunday due to work and will be on holiday on the 17th so if anyone wants them they are more than welcome to have them.

Just don't want to see them lie in the drawer when someone could use them.

    Cheers.

  4. Superb mate i heard J Sutton was out on the park with a young kid im glad he enjoyed it and best wishes to him in his final year of treatment and i hope it goes well .

we are more than a club when it comes to things like this

  5. Would like to say a huge thanks to Motherwell FC for there generosity yesterday.

A couple of weeks ago i e mailed the club and asked if my daughter ( who is a season ticket holder in east stand along with myself and nephew ) could come over and meet a couple of the players to cheer her up a little bit as her mum ( my wife ) is ready to undergo chemotherapy again for the second time in 5 years.

I got a reply back from Leeane Dempster and Diane Harvey and they arranged for us to be invited to Fir park yesterday to the centenery suite before the game.

Once we arrived at 1pm we were given acsess to the suite and bar facillities and centre stand tickets and also tickets for half time refreshments inside the centenery, we were also given match day programmes from Peter Elder who went out of his way as he always does to make sure we enjoyed the day .

A lady called Jennifer Reston who knew we were coming took Kerri, my nephew Andy and myself out into the tunnel and onto the park before the warm ups so that Kerri could sit in the dug outs and get various pictures taken within the ground that she thought was superb.

We also met Diane who was just simply fantastic and could not have done enough for Kerri once they met, she arranged for her to get pic's took inside and after the game she arranged to get Kerri some great pic's took along with John Sutton, Kieth Lasley, Lionel Ainsworth and Sean Hutchinson and each and every one of them were so nice to her she thought she was it was great.

Also met Leanne Dempster after the game and we both thanked her for the gesture and she also was so nice and genuine to us .

so once again if any of the above read this on here thank you once again for making a day at the football that bit more special for Kerri as she loved every minute of it .

  6. Does not surprise me in the slightest that the club have made an arse of it to be honest ,

Another factor is how will people that are season ticket holders feel when they are told that they are not allowed entry into the game without a voucher through no fault of there own ( as the stewards said they didnt need one ) when Joe Bloggs who walked out of the stand(s) with a handfull of them ?

Can see a situation with a lot of unhappy season ticket holders arguing with stewards, police and turnstyle operators on the night and could be a bit of an embarresment for the club.

Get it sorted Motherwell and use common sence with the special vouchers on the books for entry for season ticket holders as maybe just maybe it will piss a few folk off and they will not renew them next season and as they are the core supporters ( dont mean that to be offensive to PATG customers btw )

  7. Saw that crowd aswell, bunch of 15/16 year old neds in trackies. They walked past the East Stand gates just after the game singing at us as if they were something trying to goad Well fans but all they got was laughed at.

Did you tell them that the game was shite , Motherwell were lucky and you were dissapointed they didnt take it to at least a replay ?

  8. Wee bit harsh id say regarding the cup final Grimmy

Personally i think they did great to get there in the first place as this is a team we have now with a mixture of promising youngsters and a few seasoned pros , ok we didnt turn up and Celtic could have been there for the taking , at 1 .0 we smacked the cross bar that could have changed the game , also humphries chance in the sec half, if that lands to a striker could have burst the net with it .

If anyone would have said this season we would finish in the top 6 get to the CIS semi final and then get to the Scottish cup final you would have bitten there hand off for that .

Onwards and upwards i sposse but fuck me if this was a bad season a canny wait till a good one comes .

  10. If it comes down to a ballot for all non st holders then they'll either need to get a st holder to get them tickets or take the chance of missing out.I don't know that many st holders and the ones i do will probably be using the 4 tickets so wtf am i supposed to do?this might seem a bit ott since the details aren't 100% yet but i refuse to miss out so is there anyone who knows for sure they'll have 2 spare tickets who'd be willing to give me them for an extra fiver each on top of the ticket price? if anybody wants to take me up on that pm me.

There is a squad of us going to the final mate and a few are season ticket holders so if you are stuck i could probably give you voucher 16 from one of the books that way you are guaranteed to get one but you would have to pick it up from New Stevenston.

I used to get that bus as well to sunny viewpark when i was a nipper along with my cousin Tommy Dixon (RIP), later in years went to the games with spike (Ian) and wee ownsey ( never changed in the last 20 years ). Big woggy ( RIP) as well as Geordie Graham (RIP) another viewpark Motherwell legend.

    Great memories.

  12. my voice is gone with shouting and singing.

But i still had enough of a voice left to shou at Craigan.

Im sorry guys i know we played well and we should be proud and if it wasn't for willie (im a dirty h*n ftp) collum we would have taken it to extra time.

Craigan again couldnt pass at all, we know he cant cross a ball but today he couldnt pass 10 yards in front of him, watch the goals again. and someone tell me why Craigan is not picking up Naismith

And i dont want the whole "it's not his man" because in this situation that doesnt work :notworthy:

Is that the same Willy ( im a dirty h*n ftp ) Collom that teaches religious education at a roman catholic school ?

  13. I really don't get this argument at all. Many of our fans already travel miles to home games and an extra one or so for some (less travelling for others like me) is neither here nor there. If some can't be bothered to travel an extra mile or so to support their team in superior facilities then it really doesn't say much for them as supporters.

To an extend i agree with you but you have to also take into account the amount of fans that for talk sake go to Jack Daniels, Fir park club, New century etc etc , a lot of they people make up a large amount of our fan base and they have done that for years as they are all in close walking distance to the ground.

Also for the ones not old enough to go for a beer before the games a lot of them prob stay near fir park and have a short walk to the ground but if its away up at Ravenscraig that might put a few parents off letting them go as its in a kind of no mans land at the minute.

Personally id love to stay at fir park as it simply would not be the same watching a Motherwell team anyware else at a home game . ( no thanks to a pishy plasic stadium for me )

  14. Too many moaning c**** on this! Smoke bombs create an atmosphere by lifting the tention in the section and living's things up, and every smoke bomb I have seen ignited in a ground as been very sucessful and made a massive diffrence in the atmosphere, apart from " mc kinnons" pathetic attempt to lit off that smoke bomb (stink bomb) at hamilton! As a boy sayed earlier and fairplay to him, if you want a peaceful and well behaved atmosphere go to church! Also find it hilarious that people were calling people in that section "wee neds" as that is the same crowd that go week in week out and make a massive diffrence to the atmosphere! All of us go to games to support motherwell, aka back them up, support the players and create as much atmosphere and colour, not to fukin moan, and greet about a smoke bomb beeing lit off as it blocked your view for a minute or too! All yous moaning b******* make scottish stadiums worse than it actual is which seems impossible! Get behind your team, misrable horrible c****! Viva Motherwell! 1oaalf.jpg

Im guessing that the smoke bome was down at the front ???

Looking at the picture thats posted it sure as hell dont look like its created any sort of atmosphere apart from a wee group of young lads all chuffed with themself and will no doubt be telling there school pals on Monday how great it was .

I dont mind anyone trying to create a better atmosphere at fir park or away from home in fact batter in as it can only be a good thing for the team but smoke bombs no thanks as others have posted as well about them possibly being an issue with folk with ashma etc etc and im sure most of them as you said about your wee group go week in week out to support Motherwell.

Sing till yer hearts are contented lads and fly your flags but leave the smoke bombs for guy fawkes night .

The old home town looks the same as I step down from the train,

and there to meet me is ma drunken maties

Down the road I look and i see Airdrie and by fuck it looks real scary

It's good to touch the green, green grass of home.

Yes, they'll all come to meet me, section B smiling sweetly.

It's good to touch the green, green grass of home.

The old east stand still standing tho' the paint is cracked and dry,

and there's that old big cage that I used to thrive on

Down the lane I walk with my skank Mary, hairy legs she was from Airdrie.

It's good to touch the green, green grass of home.

Yes, they'll all come to meet me, section b running freely

It's good to touch the green, green grass of home.

    [spoken:]

Then I awake and look around me, at four grey wall surround me

and I realize that im in the polis station

    For there's a guard and there's a sad old junkie -

reeking o pish but im no flunkey

Again I touch the green, green grass of home.

Yes, they'll all come to see me in the shade of that old fir tree

as they lay me neath the green, green grass of home.

  18. Went into the Cooper for a pre match pint as usual. I am a ST holder but no one paid any attention as me and my mate walked straight in and up the stairs. No attempt whatsoever to ask for Season Tickets, so clearly any checking is random. This was about 45 minutes before kick off when you would expect the place to be fairly busy. Surprise surprise the place was the quietest it has been all season. Not even a queue at the bar! Now I know why. If there is now a policy in place to limit entry then it's certainly effective. Crazy.

IMO the Cooper should be open to all. After all we all support the same team and spend the same currency. Limiting it to ST holders only is economic madness and makes no sense whatsoever. If anyone chooses to arrive later....ST holder or not... on and finds the place full, then tough. Get there earlier next time.

Most pubs, clubs etc would be delighted to have a full house. Looks like MFC shooting themselves in the foot by over reacting to a one off complaint from a ST holder who threw his teddy out the pram. MFC....Get this sorted.

    100% correct with that post.

The cooper should be open to all if they are there early enough to get in for a pint before the match .Im also a season ticket holder and as posted if its full tough just go someware else as it would prob be my own fault for turning up at say 2pm on match day and expecting to be let in ( i prefer going to daniels anyway to be honest ) but as you mentioned the bar was not busy and as a result there takings could have been a lot better if it was open to all .
