I don't mind Las triggering an extension. He was set a target and bettered it. I still don't believe for a second it was due to avoiding relegation. I'd be stunned if that was a trigger for anyone but a manager.

I have heard that McDonald was an absolute pollution at the club, a complete wee prick and a lot of folk disliked him. Especially after his wanting away in January. Too good a player to lose then though.

Lasley was still our best midfielder this year. Solution? Bring folk in who are better.

Without knowing any real details I am sure I remember when he last renewed it was on the back of a good few months after 3 months of shite. Then he was said to have been "one of" the highest earners. I don't really doubt that either, whatever his wage he was not worth his last extension IMO but hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Been constantly rumoured and I heard it from a few people.

Unless it's on heavily reduced terms (if you believe the rumors he's on a wedge), I am pretty shocked.

I can certainly understand the love for Lionel. He's a world beater on his showreel. His first two seasons were fantastic, even during those he had some truly awful spells. Like two previous posters said. He's being romanticised due to his good performance against Killie but other than another decent wee sub appearance a few weeks ago I can't think of his last decent game.

Great player when he could be arsed. dogshite about 75% of the time. Hope he goes down south and does well. best wishes

These posts sum up how I feel about it. The last two wins have been great and a lot of positives have been mentioned. We were also utter dug shite at points too. Onwards and upwards though. Right behind him and whomever else is still there in July.
