Just guessing, but if the figure if £600k, I imagine no-one will be willing to pay it. So do we keep him on his current salary for a years contract, then lose him for nothing, or do we meet somewhere in the middle?

It’s definitely true. His name is one on a list of prospects they have been tracking and they contacted the club at the end of season ask about him and how much we would be looking for

Disagree. We had reached a point where an acceptable offer had been reached. I saw this as a way of getting this out there. A last call to the interested clubs.
The club always prefers to sell to England if possible as the potential returns from sell on clauses are much higher.

I was told by someone, who I am pretty sure would know, and have no reason to doubt, that there was an agreement of £250K to buy Ruddy, but it was Ruddy who was not interested in the move.
As has beed discussed before, I assume these were both family and financial reasons.

Think this is a great gesture, however on a slightly selfish note.
I have sat in the east stand since it was built, and my son has been coming with me for the last few years. Not sure why I should have to pay just because I sit in the east, when it would be free if I sat in the Cooper
anyway still think it's a great plan

I believe Craig Brown will be interin manager, which to be honest suits me just fine. He may not be "forward looking", but has been in the game so long that basically he won't arse it up. All the teams are so similar, and so skint that, I beleive a "steady ship" is the way to go just now.
I would be happy for him to keep it, but otherwise I would go for Burley, for simialr reasons to above
