Looked like Boyle had tripped him before hand, not that Shields was doing much before hand tbh.

Lol Joe Hart, sees the ball land to VV when he's miles for his line. Feigns a head knock.

Always the worst going from the international break into an away game and against Celtic no less. They were extremely poor against St Mirren so I wouldn't expect to see them repeat that kind of performance again. Hopefully we can weather the initial storm and see where it takes us.

Ross County v Motherwell now Tuesday 04/10/2022

I find it really frustrating tbh esph having forked out a small fortune for a nice weekend away that I'll not be able to get back, Scottish football clearly waiting to see what the English leagues were doing before we committed to a decision. A minutes silence and black arms would more than sufficed. We are denied going to the football but we can nip along to the Hydro to see the likes of Kevin Bridges in front of 10,000+ for a chuckle or head to the theatre, cinema and so forth. -

Potentially means we won't play again until October which is a month already jam packed with fixtures, not much wiggle room esph with the World Cup cutting in mid season. -
Decided to head along to the game on Tuesday. I actually enjoyed the game for what it was, I know most of the first team players were getting valuable minutes under their belt namely Aarons, McKinstry and Moult. I found it interesting that O'Donnell was deployed at left back for this game as well. I like Shields work ethic and that but his finishing is not really good tbh. The young guy Mahon had a terrific game. If they play most of the home games at Fir Park this season I would certainly head along more regularly.

Assuming the old coffin dodger pops her clogs today I believe sporting events in the UK are postponed for 9 days, as the Hearts game is Sunday next week we should just about squeeze that in. -
Waiting until 12 on the button to announce Moult.

Scott Fox away out on loan to QOTS.

I would rather someone launch him into row Z in the first few minutes. By all accounts from United fans feedback his best game for them was against us last season and of course his only goal for them came in that match. While I don't think they'll be as easy to beat as the like of AZ, St Mirren and Celtic found I'm confident we can take home the three points.

TBF they started the league campaign well, both got goals against Hibs (3-0) and then the following week same again against Hearts (3-2) at Tynecastle but sadly the decline would be quick heading into October.

I think it was the SPFL official website that used to have a feature where it had a transfer section and on deadline day you could see all the players teams were trying to register hours before they were announced, way back when we had that mad spree in January under Baraclough it made for some exciting reading but can't find it now. It'll be interesting to see what happens tonight, expecting some incomings but wondering if the likes of Ojala and perhaps Morris might move on, wouldn't be surprised to see a few young ones go out on loan.

Apparently Jack Ross has just been sacked, hopefully that doesn't bode well for Dundee United on Saturday. Anyway first things first looking forward to the game tomorrow night under the lights, it would be nice to go on a cup run. Since getting to the final in 2017 we have had some frustrating exits from this competition being knocked out at this stage by a struggling Hearts and Dundee side who both ended up relegated, not to mention gift wrapping a St Johnstone win who would go on to actually win the cup. I'm not really familiar with much of Inverness players these days, I recognise a few former Accies forwards, the goalie and Billy McKay. I would love to see us register a comfortable win but I guess as long as we are in the hat for the next round then that's all that matters. It'll be a interesting few days with comings and goings as well.

Prob thinking of the diamond ear ring wearing Ndjoli that only played twice as a sub. I would have loved to have seen Aaron's return but since he left us he has played 12 games, one all of last season. He was rapid, quite tricky and scored a nice goal against St Midden. He'd be a massive upgrade on the liked of Roberts\Woolery, but obviously his lack of game time is a worry.

As you do each and every week. I watched ICT get pumped by Partick Thistle just over a week ago and they looked a poor side, while on paper it seems like a potential banana skin I'm quite confident we will be comfortably progressing to the next round. I wouldn't be surprised to see a couple of changes to the side most likely Penney making his debut and probably Efford for Shields. Looking forward to the Fir Park double header this week.

Obviously it's going back a bit now and rules have changed etc. But I remember at the 1998 World Cup a new rule was introduced in that any sliding tackle that hits your opponent from behind was a straight red, I always had the impression that had stayed. For me, as much as it pains me to say it but I feel Collum was hundred percent correct, the Rangers guy recklessly launched into the back of an opponent. I see the wee neddy Hibs defender was the first on the scene again telling Willie it's a red. As for the 11 Celtic fouls today with no yellows, perhaps worth a mention that Jota against Aberdeen last season had nine fouls commited with no yellow or even our own O'Donnell against Rangers last year where his two fouls merited a yellow each in Nick Walsh's eyes only for Balogen to be let off countless times for the same fouls. VAR is going to be a laugh up here. Anyway it was nice to get one of those clear cut dodgy decisions in our favour against Livi.

Yeah, we learnt our lesson the last time we tried to sign a guy from Leeds. Announced as a new signing then half an hour later saying it was cancelled as he had played for two clubs.

We're apparently trying to get another young guy in on loan. A left back called Josh Reid from Coventry, he had previously played with Ross County.
