mfc_in_the_community Posted September 13, 2010 Report Share Posted September 13, 2010 Guys, The Fir Park Soccer School is halfway through its first ten week block of coaching sessions aimed at boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 16. There is still a limited amount of places available which we are now offering at a 50% discount. Based at the AstroTurf behind the East Stand, and accessed through Dalzell Avenue, the Soccer School operates every Saturday in ten week blocks throughout the year providing young people with the opportunity to improve their techniques, skills, and awareness in a fun environment which also promotes healthy eating and drinking, and respect for themselves, their team mates, opponents and officials. During each ten week block, the players will be taken through skills from defending, tackling and heading to silky midfield touches, Cruyff turns and clinical finishing. Every player will also be provided with a FREE passport to the 'Well's home games (with the exception of Old Firm games) and can attend with the game with our coaches, or parent. Guys - How do you fancy improving your playing performance for your pub team etc, under the watchful eye of Motherwell FC community coaches fully accredited to Level 3 with the SFA. Could be our Grassroots Sports Manager Stevie Kirk (aka the White Pele ) would take the striker sessions. If we get enough interest to make it viable we would be very happy to do it. The players were all sourced from the Fir Park Summer School and really appreciated the cheers of encouragement from all parts of the ground. They all had a great time and will remember their appearance on the hallowed turf for a long time. We will have more of these games taking place throughout the season and your child will have the opportunity of playing on Fir Park at half time if they sign up to the Official Motherwell FC Fir Park Soccer School by clicking on the link.
