  1. Past hour
  2. Seriously dude? 🫣🫣🫣
  3. The Well Society ran a poll on VAR earlier in the season. Not sure if any other clubs have done similar, but there have certainly been similar from other fan organisations. Just needs someone to pull it all together and take it forward. If the SPFL is indeed there to facilitate the clubs, then they would have to listen. No point complaining about it if we dont try to effect change. Im sure the Well Society are well aware of and share the view of most fans.
  4. Even before today it was always Hibs we had to worry about catching us for 4th and nothing has changed in that regard. We seriously need to buck our ideas up but as you say it’s hard to see where the next point is coming from.
  5. I think any faint hope they had of catching us disappeared at full time.
  6. It was good to see them slapped right back into their box today. After being 2-0 up and getting all excited it ended up a bit of a drubbing for them on their own patch. 😁 (Guitar into……) # Ah-as I was walking by the Falkirk wheel I-I seen a local ragin’ Cos the Falkirk Bairns, Got skelped six-three By the Fame-uss Glesga Rainjurz #
  7. Today
  8. Said was being penalised almost every time he made a tackle. The one he was booked for was a joke as well. Devlin literally fell onto the ball with minimal or no contact. When the same thing happened to Fadinger the free kick went to Hearts. You just need to watch the Falkirk game today to see how dodgy/controversial decisions change games.
  9. The majority of this cohort of officials have been fast tracked due to the increased demand brought about by the introduction of VAR and, as a result, are overpromoted. Many of them also come across as arrogant twats, with their body language and the way they speak to players often being appalling. A good referee earns the respect of players through performance and communication, not by imposing themselves on the game or the players. Contrast our officials with full time professional referees in England, or in comparable sports such as rugby, and the difference is staggering. We should not have to accept this any longer, but it will likely take clubs collectively challenging the SFA to force any real change. That seems unlikely though, as the wagons will circle and the same group of underperforming, useless clowns will remain protected, with any serious pushback risking disruption to the league. If FIFA are effectively blacklisting SFA officials, what are member clubs and fans supposed to do if the SFA will not do what is needed itself?
  10. Wishful thinking, what can mfc do realistically...I think we all see the problems but sorting it is another thing.
  11. The KMI Panel and VAR Review should both be scrapped. They’re pointless exercises that deliver no consequences for those making the mistakes and no meaningful change for those affected by them. It’s all performative nonsense that does nothing but wind people up.
  12. Nice excuse! Needs highlighted by media, (stop laughing at the back!) and binned if thats the case. Total joke. Clubs spending thousands and its a guy using a phone camera from miles away catches the incident.
  13. Hendry like Cook always seemed to be injured. Hard for them to get a run in the team never mind finding form. Every signing is a risk. Can we take the risk next season on them being fit? Maybe best to try something different.
  14. Did not bother watching yesterday and only checked score later on. Hearts much like Falkirk have carried alot of luck this season. Something that we seldom dont get. For Hearts to win the league giving their general poor standard and style of play is embarrassing. It sums up Scottish Football. Brutal is the word i would use. Imagine them in the champions league against PSG. Would be some laugh right enough. We are never going to win the league. Finances will dictate that. But at least our team is trying to entertain. Sometimes we will come away frustrated, but at least we are trying to improve and move into the modern world of football. Its a shame our club plays in backwards looking country where authorities make decisions to benefit two clubs.
  15. If St Johnstone want Hendry I wouldn't stand in his way, can see Liam Gordon going there as well to be honest. This summer we are probably going to have a rebuild on our hands again with the amount leaving on frees or players who may be sold. At the moment we should be signing : - 2 x New CB (Welsh goes back to Celtic, Gordon and Balmer OOC) - 1 x LB (Longelo needs competition and Wilson is probably not Premiership level) - 1/2 CM (Need 1/2 CM Watt may leave and Whyte may not sign a new deal). - 2 AMF (If Just leaves and Slattery doesn't sign a new deal) - 1 RW - 1 LW -2 x ST (If Hendry and Maswanhise leave) Players Leaving : Slattery, Gordon, Balmer, Nicholson, Robinson, Halliday - Contract Expiry Oxborough, Wilson - Loaned out/Released Stama, Maswanhise, Just, Watt, Hendry - Potentially sold. Welsh - Returns to Celtic.
  16. Allegedly VAR did not have access to the same video footage that we saw on Sportscene, if thats the case wtf is the point of Var being there. The clubs need to start telling the SFA sort it out or get it binned.
  17. Nothing to see here, im happy that Stama has found his level, i only hope we make the move permanent over the summer.
  18. You would have thought with modern technolegy and vast coverage of matches our officials would be better. Dont they study? Collum was a clueless clown on the field and has shown he is equally incompetent off it. VAR has increased costs and turned matches into all the officials. Who wants to pay ever increasing ticket prices for that?
  19. Good post Joe. We should take this up with the Society. Also, during games we should make our feelings known about poor and/or inconsistent decsions in the time honoured fashion (note: no abuse).
  20. It’s football, these things happen and they can often happen in sequences from time to time and when it does then of course that’s frustrating. And I don’t subscribe to the idea that ā€œthese things even themselves out over a seasonā€ because more often than not they don’t. But it’s when people start going down the cheating/conspiracy route that annoys me and it’s only when it’s one of the Old Firm, one of them in particular does that start getting trotted out. Put it this way, had the ridiculous non penalty incident that we got against Falkirk happened against Rangers then everyone would be up in arms and howling about cheating Masonic refs and the like. I think even the dogs in the street know that.
  21. To be honest, I don't see many people on here suggesting it doesn't matter what we do, but even if they were, it would be equally nonsensical to suggest it doesn't matter if other teams get dodgy penalties against us, while we are denied stonewallers. There are very few teams who can cope with those kind of decisions on a consistent basis, and we certainly aren't one of them. We're all frustrated right now. Maybe don't poke the wound quite so soon.
  22. Best for both parties. A bit like Stama, just hasnt worked out. Also too injury prone to be serviceable for us. If the Saintees want him we should facilitate this.
  23. Im under no illusion of my importance, or lack of, to the SPFL. But I would hope my club views it differently and makes representation to the authorities in conjuction with all the other clubs to try and sort this. As you say, football is an entertainment industry. In a season where we have enjoyed the best football many of us can remember, and attendances are up, we should be taking this one up on behalf of all supporters to improve the experience. It would be an act of utter self harm if fans are driven away from the game due to poor officiating....
  24. Rumour on P & B that Callum Hendry may move back to St Johnstone in the summer.
  25. Perhaps my style is over the top at times but I just get frustrated by grown adults coming out with absolute nonsense and schoolboy patter like ā€œaww the other team will get a penalty so it doesn’t matter what we doā€ whilst completely overlooking the fact that we have shot ourselves in the foot by failing to make advantages count. I’m not saying that it’s just you or even that that’s what you were doing with that post, but when I see posts like that I just shake my head at the idea that people actually live their lives thinking like that. As for the ā€œPenalty to Rangersā€ thing, it was something that caused a lot of hysteria a few years back when every single time Rangers were awarded a penalty, whether justified or otherwise, it was subjected to a ridiculous amount of scrutiny from the media and fans of every other club. The term implied that Rangers get favourable decisions and again you had grown adults just accepting that as if it were gospel even when all the evidence was there to show otherwise.
