Your posts always come across as similar to a film critic reviewing a new release rather than a football fan who enjoys going to support their team. ”It was a fairly low budget production which delivered the standard of film you would expect, wasn’t brilliant but it certainly wasn’t terrible either. The way the audience reacted to it was a disgrace, but not surprising. Totally ungrateful and lacking basic understanding of the movie industry and the online reviews only reinforces this. At the end of the day it was well written and credit goes to the producer…Graham Alexander.

That's not the case though is it, if the coefficient goes up it means that the ugly sisters and the other potential Euro regulars ie Aberdeen, Hearts, Hibs are all doing better in European games and as a result earning more cash making them richer. Which a a consequence widens the financial gap between them and the rest of the league allowing them to attract better players etc, so where's the positive in that from a Motherwell perspective?
-
Nah, just nah . Why don't "these players" just have a wee chin wag with him and a cup of tea before the game and wish him all the best. You really don't believe that do you.
-
Best for him and us if he moves on. Manager has sussed it out that he's a bit limited for us. Making way for someone else he is happier with.

Scott Burns is reporting that Balmer could be set for a move to Kolding in Denmark.

At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter what kind of welcome our fans give Kettlewell today. He’s a narcissist who will spin his own narrative, and the press will lap it up regardless.
-
To be fair everyone on the forum have been singing from same songsheet and saying that he shouldn't get booed as that would just play into his hands. All our fans need to get right behind JB and players.

I see that the weather has to change fairly dramatically around kick-off to heavy rain and strong winds. That might suit Kilmarnock if they are looking to make the game physical and disruptive. I think Motherwell will get over the line with a victory today but only just. I am hopeful that the supporters will focus on our own team and the positivity around the good start to the season because any negativity, like the adverse weather, will play into Killies hands. A narrow 1-0 victory with plenty of patience required throughout the 90 minutes.
-
Just play our own game, support our team loudly and win the game playing the football we have seen all season. That will be enough of a statement to Kettlewell. No need to fire their team and supporters up by having a go at him.
-
I’m of the view that we don’t need any negative atmosphere before the game starts. A few of our team worked with him and possibly still like the guy so any shit shouted at him could potentially inadvertently knock their thoughts/concentration at the start of the game.

Was looking forward to going to the game as it seems like a whole other close season since I last saw us against Rangers. Then I come on here and we are still getting the rampant victim blaming and hate towards Kettlewell. Yuck. Maybe it's a form of de-tox to only have a home game every 30 days.

Kalimera folks, got well t shirt on today. Get the JB songbook in full flow today and ignore the other manager. COYW

Good luck to Ewan. With the right system and carefully managed minutes, he should do really well at Raith. What it means for his long-term future as a Motherwell player, though, I’m not sure.

For me, it’s simple. I enjoy seeing Celtic and Rangers humbled while hoping the rest of the Scottish teams do well in Europe. You can think that way without caring too much about the coefficient. I also don’t want Celtic and Rangers getting richer than they already are, and their fans are pricks.

Pretty much this for me. I have mellowed over the years with my opinion towards the Old Firm in particular. There was a time, not so long ago that I would want to see them lose in Europe but now I am happy to see them both progress. I can't really remember when my feelings switched on this. I have enjoyed watching all four teams in Europe this season, particularly Hibs and it has been disappointing to see them crash out. It is a win/ win with the OF at the moment because if they do progress great, if they don't the meltdown that follows is equally as entertaining and it is interesting to listen to as a dispassionate observer. Bottom line is if the Scottish coefficient is improving it means generally speaking that the game in Scotland is improving and I can't see any negatives with that.

I actually quite enjoy watching Scottish teams play in Europe as it gives me a little bit of interest as I find watching English sides incredibly boring. in saying that I don’t like seeing them succeed, especially the Glasgow 2. i happened to listen to the Clyde phone in tonight and I had to turn it off after 20mins and it did remind me exactly why I want to see them fail at every opportunity. The self entitlement of Celtic in particular over the recent years is off the scale. Some clown ryhmed off about 6 clubs that have knocked out Celtic in Europe over the years and he said that these teams should be “cannon fodder “ for a club like Celtic!! 🤣🤦♂️ Considering rangers have one 1 trophy in 13yrs they are almost as delusional. anyway, not too fussed about seeing teams pumped out and I do find it quite funny. as for a knock on effect to the national team I’m not so sure, if we are good enough we’ll qualify. We aren’t good enough and we don’t have a good enough manager and our embarrassing performances when we do qualify makes me not too bothered if we qualify or not. Once we start playing in a more modern entertaining way then I’ll be happier to watch us on a national stage.

This sums up my exact feelings about him. Of course no excuse for clowns giving him pelters but was it as bad as he made out? Plus on day of wimmer appointment there is exclusive interview with The Sun. For me it's ignore him tomorrow and get right behind JB who i think is absolutely brilliant and going to be great for us. Motto tomorrow.......ignore SK.......Hunners of JB songs

I won't be giving abuse towards Kettlewell at all , he done a decent job in the 2 years and won't ever forget our first league win at Ibrox in 27 years My main annoyance about him was the way it ended . Fan abuse which shouldn't be acceptable, but silence for 3 weeks on the issue after he left . Then on the day Michael Wimmer was appointed there was story after story for a full week or so afterwards. Stevie Frail has my respect for the way he conducted himself at the time I have certainly moved on since then and loving the JBA revolution 👏

I think in matters of scale, 5 million or whatever for a club of Hibs size wouldn't be the same financial jackpot it would be for Motherwell. I suspect Hibs financially these days don't really have to worry and the question for them really needs to be why the heck they don't do better given their set up and resources. Same with the Jambos. I will be honest I do not support the Old Firm in Europe, I detest the pair of them. They are both an absolute embarrassment to Scotland when they start their pish so the sooner they are out the better. On the other hand I would quite happily see everyone else do well. Europe is just an incing on the cake when you achieve a bit of success domestically however I do welcome the conference league and am looking it at the route Scottish teams need to take. All of the Scottish teams eyeing up Europe are more than capable of entering that group stage. I would fancy our chances. The Motherwell team who battled to the final qualifying round under Craig Broon I would have fancied to get over the line into the Conference group stages.

My jokes are certainly old.....and not in fashion. Ps. Mrs grizzly just nodded head in agreement. YAMMAS!!!

We should treat Stuart Kettlewell the same as we would any other visiting manager - ignore him. We’ve moved on and have a much better manager now. As for Saturday’s game, I think it’s odds-on Kilmarnock will come and sit in and try to catch us on the break. I think our new way of playing is going to be best suited to away games, where the onus is on the home team to go forward and try to win. Like Hearts last week, it lets us exploit the space after turning over possession. Be interesting to see how we approach Saturday’s game. Hoping for a right good performance and a win. COYW.

Better than yer old fashion jokes then , eh.

Wilson has said in an interview that he was the one that pushed his agent to see about a loan deal as he wasn't getting enough game time at Motherwell. It's on Raith Rovers twitter

I like Ewan and believe he’s still a good player so hopefully this will benefit his development.
