  1. Past hour
  2. We don't have a good record of signing strikers with Hendry as surname. At least Callum didnt cost £200k like the money McLeish gave to Spurs in the 90's for John, jeez!!
  3. No recruitment department is ever going to get every transfer right. A realistic aim is to get maybe 60-75% right? Overall, our recruitment team has done well this season (Fadinger, Watt, Just, Welsh etc) and credit to them for that. Its just that I don't think Hendry fits our style of football. I wouldn't criticise them over Stama as he was signed for a previous style that we no longer play.
  4. A big criticism i have of Hendry is he looks laboured at times and there were example yesterday when breaking forward there were about 3 or 4 of our guys ahead of him. 2nd half chance was unlucky but he just looks devoid of confidence. Stama isn't a lone striker and maybe trying them as a partnership could be option but that disrupts our formation. I am sure JBA and team fully aware and hopefully can find a gem in January or maybe a good loan deal
  5. Agreed. Many now accept that we aren't converting good possession based football into actual goals. Our priority needs to be the strikers. I can envisage 2 or 3 players leaving, maybe 4 if Welsh moves back to Celtic. 2 or 3 incoming including a striker, central defender and left back cover. A lot will depend on which players leave. I don't think yesterday's game will influence that, albeit that we've failed to score in 4 of our last 6 games.
  6. Again that's harsh re recruitment, mind guys like fadinger and watt were already here before jba..they're not bad players...I don't hear much talk about nick daws any more since the form has taken an upturn. The striker position is the hardest one to fill, I trust jba and backroom guys to get it right.

  8. Most goals are preventable, I think the priority has to be a striker for this team, if that means neglecting other areas , fair dues Longelo isn't best defensively but usually strong going forward, it's maybe something we need to live with We deserve something from this season, even if it's a European spot or a cup win, it would be galling to have this great fitba not achieve anything.
  9. No, I don't think so; just being objective. Others have singled out Longelo for criticism. I don't think it was just down to him. JBA will certainly have picked up on this. If we want to improve we have to analyse our weaknesses. Yes, we played pretty well, with the exception of our finishing but that doesn't mean to say we should absolve the team of all criticism. Can we honestly sit back and say that there was nothing we could have done to prevent the goal? Was it a wonder strike that no defence would have prevented?
  10. Injury time at Ibrox, Rangers hanging on for a point and you reckon VAR got involved, to possibly award the opposition a penalty..... its GrizzlyG's job to crack the jokes
  11. I might be wrong but I doubt it. I'm under the impression that a development fee is only payable if no fee is agreed.
  12. VAR must have been involved, even if it was just to immediately say check complete.
  13. I’m assuming that no matter what he’s sold for we still get a development fee.
  14. Unfair to have a go for goal, we played bloody well yesterday, surely they can be afforded a mistake here and there...we won the previous two games v Rangers at Ibrox and yesterday was best we played
  15. Said it before the rangers and celtic games, the ref will need to be strong. Await Tuesday for that crowd to get the benefit of a decision. You can see why so many fans in Scotland get hacked off , the selective use of var... used for said's disallowed goal for a supposed foul but not used yesterday ....it is total bollicks and treats the paying customers with contempt. .. ..
  16. Very true. The media is 100% complicit in this unacceptable situation and has been for decades. I can accept it from private companies as I can and do choose not to give them any money, but I am forced to fund the BBC. The media favour both halves of the gruesome twosome and had Celtic been involved, the exact same scenario would have unfolded.
  17. Their success rate in home cup ties over the last 10 years runs at 80% (4 in every 5 draws) very often against lower league opposition. Motherwell's in the same time period is 50% much more in line with the probability of an evens chance. I find it very difficult to believe that this is fixed because if it is our game is truly corrupt but it is also some coincidence that the most influential and powerful team in Scottish football just happened to have lucked out to such an extent in Cup draws. It would be very interesting to know if there is any other Scottish team that has an 80% success rate in home Cup ties over the last 10 years.
  18. But, will it be included in any review as VAR was not involved? There's no accountability. As for the goal we lost, it was a team effort. The scorer was afforded acres of space in our box. Longelo may have played a part, but only a part.
  19. The media have a big part to play in this. If the roles had been reversed and Rangers were denied an injury time penalty this would be a headline story this morning. The story would run for days and the referees name would be in the spotlight to ensure that his personal life would be very uncomfortable for a few weeks. I looked at the BBC sport page this morning and but for a tiny reference in the match report there is nothing. The last example of this was the Trusty head knock on Butland. That story ran for almost two weeks and look at the decisions that have gone Rangers way since. The Livingston non penalty actually did get some press time because it was so blatant but the story disappeared fairly quickly. Rangers know this works for them and there are Rangers minded people in the media that are more than happy to help out. It will never change. Had it been up the other end yesterday it would have been a penalty. I don't think it is a conscious decision by the referee to purposely cheat but in a split second he has to make a decision that will have implications for him personally over the coming days. It is always the safe option to favour Rangers in that situation as the lack of coverage of the incident proves this morning.
  20. Thats correct yes. It will be a % of any profit.
  21. It needs to stop as the club will be getting more fines and/or sanctions until it does. As you say continue with the grear support without being wee fannies setting off flares and endangering the people around them.
  22. Fernandez hung his leg out and took Fadinger down, can you imagine that not being checked if it had been at the orher end, no neither can i its a feckin joke. Tgats at least two definite penalties Fernandez has got away with, yesterday and a few weeks ago against Livingston, and VAR do feck all.
  23. I’m assuming the sell on clause will be a % of anything above the original price paid I.e. we only get a % of anything above £3.?? M. I might be wrong but I thought we go nothing when DT left Celtic.
  24. See the flares again making an appearance. No doubt a fine coming up soon. Really wish the lads would give it a rest with them. Continue the great encouragement but leave the flares
  25. Yesterday
  26. Looks like Lennon Miller could be heading to Strasbourg in January. It might be my pigeon French but reports are he’s signing and not a loan deal? Hope that’s the case with our sell on clause.
  27. Looking forward to the monthly review of "we got this one wrong again, sorry" from Gollum. Where the fuck is the accountability?
