  1. Hasn't been able to pass the ball since Queens Park (that continued today) but is still a presence in the midfield (that also continued today).
  2. That was a really important game today, coming off a loss and with the international break coming up, followed by a run of away fixtures. Thistle were pish, we were good for the 1st 10 mins of the 1st half and the entire 2nd half. Thought Bowman, Tait, Campbell, Cadden and Hartley were very good. At the moment we're performing like a top 6 side, let's hope it continues.
  3. I said at the Aberdeen game to my cousin that I'm struggling to remember a better tackler/ball winner at Fir Park than young Campbell. Long way to go for the young man and don't want to put too much pressure on him but nothing has fazed him yet.
  4. Where did you watch the full game man? Dying to see it again.
  5. I'm just pleased that we're still allowed to compete in the competition after making an ILLEGAL four substitutions in a previous round. For once the ineptitude of the SFA has worked in our favour.
  6. Big game. Not looked forward to a Motherwell game as much in a while. Aberdeen have better players but our greatest strengths since the start of the season has been togetherness, fitness, work ethic and bouncebackability. Both teams drew at the weekend but we have far more reasons to be pleased with our result than Aberdeen do. I've been really impressed with the way the team is giving heart and soul atm but if we're being honest that's only translated into 45 mins of good football per game. To get anything from this I think we'll need a 90 min performance. Not convinced what Rose is bringing to the team atm, I see people saying he does a lot of the unnoticed dirty work but I personally don't see it yet. He doesn't put in all that many tackles, plus we have Campbell and McHugh in there to provide grit and determination. Rose is playing an attacking midfield role and should be providing creativity. For those reason's I would bring in Bigi or Tanner. I wasn't impressed with Tanner at the cup game away to Ross County but he made a big difference coming on against Hibs to be fair to him. Bigi has come off the bench in the last 2 games and set up vital goals in each. Tough choice but Bigi for me, with Tanner to make an impact from the bench. Isn't it great though that we have all these options compared to last season. As for prediction....bugger it 2-1 Motherwell!
  7. Same line up as last week seemingly. Let's hope Bigi can make a similar impact off the bench. Hope the striking partnership keeps devolping and looking for a bit more from Rose and Dunne.
  8. What's boring about it? Majority of what he says seems fair enough to me.
  9. Back in my younger days I used to serve him food in the ubiquitous chip. I completey concur with your assesment of him. A nicer more friendly man never walked in the place. He was an arse out on the park but I'm a wee dick at 5's and I never had bullets in the post. So I'll let him off.
  10. I was bent over laughing at that. It was like a scene in a movie where one guy shows off all his flash Kung Fu moves and after 2 minutes of watching this the other guy blasts him in the face with his pistol.
  11. Circumstances are everything in these things. Regardless it was a very good result for us, which is why I'm relatively positive about the future.
  12. Fair, I thought that myself after I posted it. Let me rephrase then. The 3 games we have won I'd be looking for us to win if we're to avoid a relegation scrap.
  13. That's a fair point, it is all relative and none of them so far are in the Zak Jules stratosphere. However I would ask you what 'very good performances' they've put in the recent weeks? Rose was decent against St Johnstone but no more than that. Tanner I haven't seen have a good game yet and was atrocious away to Ross County in the cup. Dunne seems solid enough, although can't pass the ball, but certainly wouldn't say he's had very good games recently. By the way, I realise I may be coming across as negative but that's totally not intended. I'm very positive about the future and it's clear to anyone with eyes that we've improved on last season. However, I'm also aware that some people seem to be getting a wee bit ahead of themselves. The 3 home games we've won should have all been winnable games.
  14. I think you're getting slightly carried away tbh. It's been a decent to good start but there are tough games ahead. On the evidence so far we clearly have 3 stars in the team; Campbell, Kipre and Moult. Cadden could also fall into this caterogy but needs to work on varying his game. But there are also a few players that I've been less with impressed with so far e.g. Rose, Tanner and Dunne. At this moment in time I would consider all 3 'weak links' but of course there's time for that to change. Robinson has done a smashing job of getting rid of the dross, bringing the age of the squad down and bringing in a little bit of quality. However by his own admission it is only a start and it's not as if we have been sparkling in every game. My own personal summary would be that it's a good job so far but with lots of work to do. The team spirit installed by Robinson has been masking our lack of quality in certain areas and that's a great thing for a club our size who don't have the budget to bring in more technically gifted players. Decent start, nothing more.
  15. Plenty of effort, very little quality. If he was still on the park we wouldn't have scored the 1st goal.
  16. Yes, resulting in our midfield not dominating to the same degree.
  17. It was Hartley's 1st game of the season and he was cramping up, probably why he was taken off. Alan Campbell take a bow son, absolutely tremendous shift. Gave us so much steel in the middle of the park. I lost count of the amount of tackles he won in there. Kipre is a tremendous asset as well. Turning into a fan's favourite, with good reason. Moult and Bowman look to be striking up a bit of a partnership. Lots of positives after that 2nd half. None more so than the togetherness of the team. Charles Dunne? Well, let's not.
  18. I was at the game, yes. As I have been at every one this season. I personally don't think it is quite as bad as you're making out. Their 1st 2 goals were piss poor defending by us, but they have some good players and took full advantage. We controlled large parts of the game, whilst lacking a cutting edge. All things considered things conspired against us today. We had a good result midweek and a poor one today. Hardly the toys oot the pram stuff you're coming out with. I have no idea what you're talking about re. blaming the ref. I haven't blamed the ref. I thought Mchugh should have walked and no idea about the other 2 as they were down the other side of the park. Your point about Hibs is also very strange. They're a bigger team with a bigger budget and better players. There was always a chance they'd take something off a poor Rangers side. No idea what that's got to do with our situation.
  19. I like your new seething mess persona this season. Suits you.
  20. I fear the fun is over my friend. But seriously you ok bro?
  21. Yeh, gotta eat some humble pie after watching the highlights. Can certainly see from that angle why the ref has given it. Gave him dogs abuse as well!
