Wasn't a Danish press article. Scottish newspaper.
They'll have been quoting a Danish interview

He's the main reason we're not below Livi right now so he can say what he likes in the Danish press as far as I'm concerned.

I never get why people talk about P&B vs here as if its not about 60% the same people

If he knows anything about Steve Clarke and the criteria he has for picking players, he'd be asking his agent to find him a move to an English Championship team then.
Like Stephen O'Donnell?

Is there any actual substance to the Spittal stuff? I can see the logic behind it but if it was this far along you'd expect some of the more ITK folk on here to be aware of it.
-
Ideally we'd get a striker in before Saturday but I don't know why folk are convincing themselves we'll just be going with Bair by himself until the end of the season.

Livi at home a few seasons ago

No one is saying they want him to go but reading stuff like 'as long as it's nowhere in Scotland' like he's terrifying to face or that his 14 games for us means that it'll hurt more to see him score against us. I'd like him to stay but won't be devastated if he leaves..
More concerned over the quality of players we're being linked with...
That's fair aye. I just think it really necessitates us getting a forward signing right, which we maybe hadn't even planned for at all unless we had a bit of forewarning from Arsenal.

This is mental. I'm not saying we're as good as down without him or that he's irreparable but he's been scoring at a rate of more than 1 in 2 during one of our worst winless runs in modern history, has a better goals to minute ratio than almost everyone other than Shankland and assisted both our goals last time out.

It hasn't changed much really. I said before a ball was kicked that I reckoned he'd get us around 4-5 goals this season. He's played a couple of good games, and hopefully he kicks on from that. I doubt he will, but you never know.
I rate Bair more than you do but think you've been pretty reasoned and fair about your view on him. Do find the way this has been worded a little odd though. He'd already scored 5 by the 2nd of January, its obviously entirely possible he doesn't score another goal this season but he's already been about twice as productive as you had predicted so far.

Dempster left in 2014 and Craigan was involved in the youth set up for another four years after that?

You can definitely hear the applause here tbf.

Wouldn't mind seeing Iain Vigurs back in a senior player/coaching role. Will no doubt know Ketts, Spitts and Pates already.

Obviously I've made my feelings clear on the quality of Scottish football for a while now.
I think it's worth noting though that the number of Scottish players in our league is now less than 40%. About 38% the last time I looked which is an absolute disgrace.
Secondly the number of U21 Scottish players that are getting even semi regular football was something like 4. 4 in the whole league.
We need to stop importing garbage and start actually focusing on youth development.
It's not like the standard of the league prohibits it.
IMO this is primarily because most of the half decent players are going down to England at 16 or 17 now rather than 21/22?
You can hopefully combat that by offering a clearer pathway like we're doing with Miller but when the Old Firm can't even hold onto guys like Gilmour or Doak I think the odds are slim for the rest of us.

I saw an “on this day” feature from the club on social media from when we won at Parkhead 8 years ago.
Prime Moult, McFadden and McDonald back then compared to Obika, Bair & Wilkinson now, depressing.
Johnson and Ainsworth too. Always felt that team could have done a bit more, although maybe unfair as they did finish 5th.

We're due a goal from Bair I think. I had him down as scoring a whopping four for us this season, so he should be good for one around now.
He's on 3 for me (0.5 for if Shaw had squared to him in Perth and 0.5 for the assist yesterday)

Are Brighton signing Theo Bair?

Rangers just got a penalty for the same shirt tug as Johnston yesterday.
That's 15 pens in 26 games for the Old Firm against the rest now and it will only get worse on a tit for tat basis. VAR has been a disaster.
The VAR and 5 sub votes were absolutely lunacy for clubs like us

I'm not convinced he's signed poor players as much as he's made a weird decision to put all his eggs in the back 5/ diamond midfield basket. Still concerning but assuming he does survive this current run I'd hope he'll learn from it in future windows.

I'm sure it was Arsne Wenger who said (and as far as I know he knows a bit about fitba') that a player moving from one country's league to another needed at least six months to acclimatise.
That was Weeyin I think

I clearly remember everyone losing the plot over our summer business, which consisted of:
- Blair Spittal on a two-year deal
- Paul McGinn on a one-year deal
- Josh Morris on a two-year deal
- Kevin Van Veen signing a new contract
Compared to this summer, that business looks absolutely amazing.
That was a summer when we were recruiting from a position of strength, before a European campaign, rather than one where we'd already blown the budget in January.
Even then, renewals aside, so far we've brought in Wilkinson and Souare from English League 2, Zdravkovski from the Cypriot league, and taken a punt on Bair from one of our direct rivals. I don't think that constitues a particularly amazing window thus far, but I also don't see how the player/level we're signing from it is any worse than the last few years, on the face of it.

Good player though

I might be wrong but I think that's the first goal we've scored from a corner since Slattery scored at Pittodrie nearly a year ago.
Would you count Mugabe's against Rangers in the 2-4 game? Probably qualifies as a stramash rather than a corner.
