He left in January 2020. We finished 3rd that season.
I agree we missed him, but I'd be delighted with another form dropping 3rd this season.
Is this contingent on the season being called two months early due to another global pandemic, literally hours before we were due to play the team immediately below us?

Could be he's moved his family up and they don't like it, that's why they want to move.
Like when Homer goes to work for Hank Scorpio.

When Lafferty is in the Scottish top flight he scores goals (mainly at Fir Park). That's basically the end of discussion for me, if he's affordable and keen it's a no brainer to get him in.
We already have a young sellable asset upfront as well in Shields, it's not like we'd be filling every position with 34 year olds on one term deals.

Literal guesswork but I'd be surprised if it's not something like
1. Celtic
2. Rangers
3. Aberdeen
4. Hibs
5. Dundee United
6. Killie
7. St Johnstone
8. Motherwell
9. Ross County
10. St Mirren
11. Livingston
12. Hamilton

O'Donnell should have sprinted the length of the pitch to cup his ears to the empty South stand.

You'd have more luck deciphering the Zodiac Killer's letters than some of OTF's scoops

Hastie's penalty must be one of the best ever in our history. An absolute rocket right into the top bin.
Higdon vs Celtic a few years back was sublime too.
I missed the game and had no desire to watch the highlights based on reports but I'm looking forward to them solely for this now

Aye but I think don't think Accies going down means they'll be replaced with a mythical 1970s Airdrie

I wouldn't mind seeing Chapman get another chance

Still not buying that people would rather go to Rugby Park or Paisley on New Year's Day than Accies.

Hearts are coming up though, and that is much more of rivalry.
On our end maybe- even then probably only then folk of a certain generation- I don't think Hearts fans give a fuck about us particularly. It's nice to feel a bit of requited hatred at Accies.

Am I the only one that would like Accies to stay up. Fuck that trek to Dingwall, get Ross County tae fuck.
Nah I agree with you. I know it's not a "real derby" etc but folk are lying to themselves if they don't feel a bit more needle and sense of occasion at New Douglas Park than they do away to Killie or Ross County.

St Johnstone have just won two major trophies seven years apart while maintaining most of the core of the squad throughout and a good few players playing in both finals. I don't think football nowadays is necessarily as short termist as people are making out.

He's up against McGinn and Armstrong for a place in the squad so tough competition.
This is true but he's a vastly superior player to Kenny McLean for me.

Tbh all I'm really desperate to see from the rest of this season is Killie going down and St Mirren missing out on top 6.

I would like to see Hamilton get a draw (not much damage to us) and St Johnstone to win. This would leave St Mirren in the bottom six and give us a chance to finish above them as we have done every season since 1989.
If this happens I'm getting permabanned from Pie and Bovril before the end of the day.

When Alexander took over we were joint bottom on 17 points with County after 20 games.
Alexander has taken 18 points from 12 games and has the 4th best record in the league since he took over. He's doing a good job.
Yeah I understand folk not wanting to get ahead of themselves but I'm amazed there's debate over the job he's done so far. Both results and performance wise he's massively exceeded reasonable expectations for me. He's probably got a few genuine reasons to be aggrieved about decisions against us or other weird bits of misfortune otherwise we could potentially have been preparing for a shootout for Top Six in a couple of weeks.

Captaincy always seems like a really weird thing to get worked up about to me. Unless you're ITK or whatever about the internal dynamics and relationships at the club it's an entirely pointless discussion.
