  1. Sick of listening to people bumping their gums about certain people just because they can't think for themselves and choose to just blindly believe all the shit that they read in the tabloids. Big Boab might have made some mistakes, I don't know the circumstances and I sure a feck wasn't there to witness it. Just heard about it all allegedly happening second hand like all of us. Everyone of us have done lots of stupid things in our lives, the difference is, is that it isn't dredged up and manipulated for different agendas in the press at every opportunity and also isn't used as a means to label you as this or that. Christ you would think that he was a feckin axe murderer the shit he gets. Never met Big Boab, but if those that actually knew him and worked beside him think so much of him then that's good enough for me. At least they know what the feck they are talking about, and I would much rather listen to them that some rag of a newspaper. Rant over!! All the best Bob.
  2. FFS, never saw that one coming. Agree with some of the other guys though, that I feel that at the end of the day McGhee will probably still be with us next season - I just know that I'm going to regret saying that.
  3. Clarkson for me, always put in a real shift and maturing every season into a really difficult striker for other team to defend against. Big shout to the rest of the guys as well they just about all put in a good shift for us this season but had to go for Clarkson.
  4. That would be the pick of the bunch for me too.

  6. C'mon the 'Well, canny feckin wait. AC/DC on the 30th of June now this, it's going to be some few days - good times... Now where did I put that feckin Kilt!!
  7. Watching Hughes today summed up his season and why I'm not exactly gutted that he is going. Bit of a sand dancer, too lightweight, won't shoot, doesn't score goals, pulls out of every 50 - 50 challenge and nearly every pass seems to be sideways or backwards. When he puts his mind to it he can be an excellent player, but he isn't minded to do this very often.
  8. Trying to consolidate our Euoropa league place by not getting anymore yellow or red cards. McGee decides to bring on Big Boab????????? total bombscare of a player that every referee in Scotland wants to book at the first opportunity - totally baffeling substitution. What happend he does the square root of fuck all and still manages to injure himself and get subbed, you couldn't make this shit up.
  9. Having to cover for Hammell most of the game didn't help.
  10. Steady on everybody, good fun to talk about this an' all. But the criteria is so loose there is more than a fair chance that we might well not get this place. It's not all just down to Red or Yellow cards.
  11. Flow - Will this be cash only?
  12. I know its getting replaced and repaired but it would be good to take the opportunity to do it properly. Something of the same quality as Hamilton's would suit me just fine. Do they not have some type of percentage of synthetic grass in with the real stuff?
  13. Would like a smart new properly thought out and designed stadium - at some point. Priority has to be getting the pitch fixed (properly) the only thing that Hamilton have that I would like is their pitch, it is in fantastic condition, considering that it is the end of the season it looked amazing and really suited our style of play, nice to see the players second touch not having to be a header or a bounce off of their shins for a change. Popup sprinlers gave Sutton a nice wee wash as well.

We are not a big enough club for them to want to go back to the drawing board for a brand new original design. It makes total sense for them to recycle aspects of existing strips that they already manufacture. Personally I think the Pompey strip design is excellent so would't exactly be disappointed to see aspects of that in our new strip.

Don't usual complement referees very often but I also thought McDonald did a turn for us last night, he could quite easily have booked a couple of guys last night was he so minded.

McLean by a country mile in my book. Clarkson also did his usual excellent shift and did really well at our second goal. The rest looked as if they didn't have a clue what they were meant to be doing, or weren't interested. Big Sutton did more and was more of a threat in 20mins than Sillyname managed in all the time he was on. For a guy his height he is hopeless in the air and easily bossed off the ball he doesn't want to be here and I can't think of any reason why we would want him here, he adds nothing to the team.
  17. I'm sure it was an accident, still feckin pissed me off though.
  18. 8 out of 10 Motherwell admin staff. Correct address for a change, usually arrives at my mates house. Correct details for a change. All info in documents correct for a change. No feckin stamp though!! had to go travel down to the sorting office to pick the letter it up and pay £1.30 for the missing postage. Never heard of pre-paid envelopes??? As usual nearly there, but you just can't seem to do things correctly.

Flow, most of us appreciate that it is a lot better than the usual Motherwell method of revealing our new strip design. Do you seriously think though that any other teams fans would not give you such a mixed response. Yes you are "damned if you do damned if you don't " working for a football team in any capacity I would have thought that you would have realised the fickle nature of ALL football teams fans. Suck it up, if the designs are as good as we are lead to believe then you'll be vindicated. Seeing as the St Mirren thread has been closed as well. A comment on your posts there. I think that most Motherwell fans (apart from Melvinbragg) think that Mark McGee is one of, if not, the best manager we are likely to see in a long time depending on your own opinion of course. He gets things wrong as well as right, such as the formation on Saturday to his credit - but you must admit that it was aided by a totally inept St Mirren but a win is a win and he gets a large amount of credit for that. I realise you feel the need to attempt to leap to his defence as you obviously know him personally and work with him at Motherwell FC, but he is a big boy and he will know better than anyone the nature of a football teams support. None of what I have read is personal. I've never met him but he does seems to be a good guy and does Motherwell proud both on and off the pitch. But your constant, don't talk about my mate like that, is starting to sound a wee bit sycophantic. This is a "fans" forum after all what exactly do you expect? We do give him credit where it's due but as always the negativity is what you concentrate on. I wonder if McGee will come on here and stick up for you..
  20. Help yourself, Special Aka eaststandfan, can you still not get to them? Tested it again and it looks fine to me.

  22. Good on you mate, that about sums it up for me.
  23. I'm a really big fan of McGee's and I think that he is one of the best things to have happened to us in a long time. BUT!!! I think he really needs to have a good look at his own responsibility for what happened today. It is not all his fault as players should have enough ability to be able to adapt to different systems and formations at times but the truth is that they were not. He (as other posters have mentioned) does seem to want to wait until the really important games before he decides to mess about with the formation in a major way. IMO, Quinn was really toiling at left back, all to often the ball ended up on his left side with the inevitable result. He is bad enough at distributing the ball with his right foot no matter his left. I feel that Hammell is physically not big enough to be a left back and did want to see him in left midfield at some point but not in such an important game. McLean has been really good in central defence recently, why then shoehorn in Craigan, who I really like, but was just back from injury and tends to toil for pace which was very evident today. Lots of the other guys had really off days and this did not help at all in making this new formation work at all, and we really needed to make some changes sooner rather than, as it turned out they were made far too late. But hey if it had all worked, he would be called a genius, but it didn't so he has to take his share of the blame. (EDIT : Also, and much talked about, I know I'm sick of hearing about it too but the state of the pitch compounded things as well, I lost count the number of times that moves or passes broke down or went astray due to the poor state of the pitch)
  24. Hope the wee fella has a great day and is our lucky mascot.
