  1. He was unfortunate that the Well boo boys needed a target and unfortunately it was him. No matter what he did it wouldn't have satisified some of the so called "fans" (and I use that word loosely!!!). Guess that only leaves Crags as their target. You wonder why anyone would sign for Motherwell?

    New Manager

How about Craig Levein - saves the papers demanding he be sacked from the Scotland job
  3. Our play is laboured, too often there is an extra pass put in before the ball ends up with the player it should get it and by that time the opposition are prepared and closing the play down. How often when passing it out to Hammell or Yassin today did it get passed to another player for them to pass it on when the original pass should have gone straight to them. Also by the time the ball reached them they had stopped and were waiting or had to go back the way to collect the ball. It happens virtually all the time I'm left wondering if that's what they are told they must do!
  4. Today's Record has Gannon saying that he wouldn't stand in O'Brien's way and would tell a player if there was interest in him. Which is fair enough, but more concerned that there was no mention of him trying to keep O'Brien. Hopefully that is taking place.
  5. But winning that award may make the difference as to whether or not the Duke wants to extend his stay.
  6. With the style we are playing now ie with one man up front Clarkie would be ideal, chasing everything and bringing others into play.
  7. Reckon they must have been held back maybe not for long because the first train that went through Airbles Station after the game had literally just a handful of Rangers fans on it.
  8. But if Fitzy gets punted - who will the boo boys pick on? After all they need someone to target irrespective of how he is playing.
  9. At the very worst, on Thursday we might need to settle for scoring the winner in extra time.
  10. Own Goals are an unfortunate part of the game and especially more so for a defender. Many of the times it happens is because the defender is under pressure from an attacker, yes occasionally it can be a mis-kick etc. If you are going to count the OGs scored then to balance it up you need to count the number of "sitters" missed by an attacker (imho). In the case of Craggs, frequently he is the only defender near the ball and also (again imho) the player most likely to put his body on the line to stop an attempt on goal.
  11. Sorry ignore this, got mixed up with when the season starts . Apologies
  12. With the game against S. Bucharest on the 6 August, will the St Johnstone game be moved to the Sunday? That's what normally would happen if a team is playing in Europe on a Thursday.
  13. John Hughes was at the Llanelli match, think they all take the opportunity to watch opponents especially when it's a chance to see them in a competitive match.
  14. Can't see Melly going, they have Leighton as their goalkeeping coach. So don't see their fans standing for that.
  15. Here's an idea which might help fans - why not start selling the tickets now? They are marked as valid for the home match whichever date it is. So they might not say who the opposition but that would be the least of my concerns That way fans who don't live near the ground or work away have a chance to get through to purchase them.
  16. Or each person "buying" a yard of turf gets a Certificate from the Club stating that they did it. Then folk could buy it for someone as a gift? Bit like the Brick. Shouldn't cost much to knock up some Certificates?
  17. Why is it every week during the pre-match warm the players waste their time practicing shooting from either outside of or the edge of the penalty box? Because every game (especially last night) they want to walk the ball into the net and it all breaks down. Take a chance and shoot!!
  18. All ticket! Great! That means drive from Renfrew to Motherwell to get a ticket for a match that is being played 10 minutes from where I live!!! In the current climate you would think Clubs would be doing everything to try and attract people to a game especially one that is on midweek in February and televised? Nope don't think I will bother.
  19. It's not bad news sort of semi idyllic:)
  20. Name I heard last night was Charlie Adams from Rangers.
  21. And also we play Dire Straits. Somebody having a laugh
