I can't link to Twitter from work, but if you can find Laura Brannan on Twitter she posted it recently....

My point was mainly tongue in cheek, but the amount of Celtic content he's liked and the number of tweets from their fans saying they'll see him in January or similar he's also liked, would suggest that his head may very well still be along the M74. The media have already seized on his 'likes' when the move was going ahead so I wouldn't be surprised if they do so again if Celtic need the pressure put back on publicly.

Jim Gannon - ten years on

Not having a go at you here, but that kind of sums up Scottish football... Gannon rightly or wrongly felt the players should be avoiding alcohol during the season to improve their fitness. Collins had a similar issue at Hibs.

Jim Gannon - ten years on

He wanted the players to avoid alcohol completely during the season. You can argue the merits of that and the context of that night, but it was quite telling seeing the different reactions of the players. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Jim Gannon - ten years on

He was interviewed for the Hibs job shortly before Motherwell and the story of both interviews was much the same. He had a depth of knowledge on every player at the clubs which was incredible, right down to the youths. He also had a file of transfer targets for every position which was also incredibly detailed, with several targets and how their qualities would complement other targets. It's fair to say the board weren't unhappy to see him go, but they were certainly extremely impressed at the outset. Some obvious issues with man management, but I remember at Craigan's testimonial race night all of the younger players were on soft drinks as he had asked all of the players to be - the senior pros were all defiantly on the beer.

Hopefully he comes back fully fit after surgery and puts in some performances that alert clubs other than Celtic to his talent and potential, and that allows the club to choose not to deal with Celtic again after their shoddy handling of the whole thing. Based on nothing other than interviews he's given I get the impression he'll do what he thinks is best for his long term career so I'd hope of it means another year at Fir Park he'll be fine with that. He's too good to be wasted in Scottish football, he's got the potential to follow Andy Robertson's path.

General wondering here, but how long is Celtic's £3million bid 'accepted' for? There surely must be a point where such a bid is off the table and a new offer needs to be made?

Tweet from a Hearts fan; "Imagine Leicester bid £20million for Tierney. Celtic accept. Tierney doesn't come to an agreement. Player no doubt gets lauded as a "proper Celtic man" by the same fans chastising David Turnbull. Level of self entitlement from the Old Firm is staggering. Geez peace." Spot on!

There's the reason fees are 'Undisclosed'... Every agent and club will know we've just came into £3million and the wages and fees increase as a result. Fees are undisclosed for a number of reasons, to hide information from fans is nowhere near the top.

    2018/19 Game 33: Rangers (H) April 7th 12.30pm Kick Off

He's generally a very angry chap during the games full stop... I've seen him offering a square go to a fellow fan who asked him to stop swearing so much in front of young kids. A totally different guy in his day job... As has been mentioned, the throwing of the lighter/pie is inexcusable and the culprit should be punished. What's more annoying is the fact that at the very point the media finally start to highlight the sectarian issues the supporters of the other clubs now seem to be on a mission to steal that spotlight, and are making it very easy for the media to quietly move on from the sectarian singing. Gerrard no longer has to dodge questions about FTP and FB's and instead gets to paint The Rangers as the innocent victims. We'll never know if The Rangers could have stepped it up yesterday if they needed to as the whole gameplan changed when we gifted them a goal, but outwith the 3 gifts they were given there was not much for Gillespie to do. Ditto McGregor mind. If Ariyibi converted the Hastie cross early on then the Motherwell mindset changes as well but neither team was creating chance after chance. The second goal was the worst for me, Tait slips (fair enough, that's bad luck) but leaves a gap that they exploit at left back, Dunne goes out to cover and we look like we'll deal with it fairly comfortably until he gives Turnbull a terrible pass and there's now a gaping hole where Dunne should have been for them to easily exploit. Avoidable on so many levels....

    The Small-Medium Rebuild 2018'19

I think this is the situation in a nutshell - Speedie read out "28 David Hastie" and there was a bit of pantomime booing at the error.

    The Small-Medium Rebuild 2018'19

I'm sure Robinson would be friendly with a number of players he played with, it doesn't automatically follow that it's the only reason George signed with us. We played 3 at the back at that stage and Ainsworth isn't the most defensively responsible winger you'll ever see so Gordon playing ahead of him wasn't that ridiculous. The fact that we stayed up suggests that the manager might have called it right...

    The Small-Medium Rebuild 2018'19

I've seen him referred to as a cunt twice at least... I'm not offended by that, I just think it's a bit strong when the lad's not done anything wrong. We've got one newspaper rumour and the knives are out.

    The Small-Medium Rebuild 2018'19

So the club are massively at fault in your opinion for not signing up young players, while at the same time being massively at fault for signing up young players? Or does it boil down to the fact that the 2 players that were given contracts you don't happen to like? The coaches that work with them daily see something in them that maybe you don't...

    The Small-Medium Rebuild 2018'19

Some of the comments on here about Hastie are ridiculous, he's a young boy who's played a few games for the first team and he's being vilified on the basis of some paper talk. There might be a lot of truth in the reports, while they might be unsubstantiated rumours - it's unknown. If Motherwell were trying to sign a player from another team in this situation we'd all be expecting the player to drop everything and sign, and to hell with his current employers. But when the shoe's potentially on the other foot it's unacceptable? I have no idea who Jake Hastie supports, and quite frankly I don't really care, but if he's grown up as a Rangers fan and this chance is presented to him then of course it's going to appeal to him. Until he's either signed a new deal, or signed with another club - whoever they may be - as it stands he's done absolutely nothing to deserve some of the comments on here...

Robinson... How Do We Think He's Doing ?

Manager of the Month - mibbes no as bad as some would want to believe after all....
  21. The club highlights don't show it either...
  22. It was Celtic... Was Liam Donnelly who was being replaced early in the first half. Had we put the ball out for the sub to be made, Celtic would of course have given us the ball back with no questions asked. Would probably also have arranged for an emergency loan to be put in place so that we'd have cover for the player as well...
  23. Christie wasn't down in need of treatment, he'd already had that so it's not all that clear cut. That said, if Celtic had scored a goal in the same circumstances yesterday we'd have been unhappy so it's probably one that we've got wrong. However, the sanctimonious shite that we're being subjected to now almost makes me happy that we did it. As has been mentioned, last season alone Celtic scored twice where their player threw themselves to the ground under no contact and feigned injury to get a Motherwell player sent off. Not once did Brendan Rodgers offer anything other than an assertion that they had done nothing wrong and sought to justify both penalties. Against St Johnstone they were awarded a penalty which clearly wasn't, and were more than happy to tuck it away and move on. No talk of Celtic players needing to "redeem themselves" or thoughts of how "It's a goal that shouldn't have stood so you have a chance to do something about it" and how these incidents are "unfortunate for the game" or even how Sinclair, McGregor and Brown were involved in "disappointing acts on a football pitch" and how "the criticism goes to the players because it wasn't a good act at all". None of that at all. Chris Sutton called it disgraceful, yet he himself did exactly the same thing as a player. Brendan Rodgers' Celtic side played on to score while an Astana player was lying with a head knock. Strachan's Celtic sides would routinely 'give the ball back' by chipping it into the corner and pressing the opposition. The hypocrisy from the Celtic fans and management is astounding on this - and that's not even mentioning the Edoard challenges on Aldred and McHugh and the reaction to McHugh being stretchered off, followed by the "Orange Bastard" tweets he was sent amongst those wishing him dead. An Irishman from Donegal who has his Twitter name in Gaelic hardly screams "Orange" to me... In a week where the Celtic fans were shook to the core by an incident at Ibrox that had nothing to do with them they have displayed the exact behaviour they were devastated by. Ashamed of nothing, offended by everything. Fuck them.
  24. The chants of "he's deid" during the thunderclaps were disgusting, the fact that there are Hearts fans laughing about it online is even more disgusting...
  25. ScottW1886

    Gordon Banks

The save from Lee Hollis at Pittodrie would rank higher I reckon - judging by Lee's reaction when he caught the ball, he had no idea that there was a ball in use or even if he was on a football pitch. Remarkable in the circumstances...
