  1. Deffo more, it was in December 2013 when they had done the worst damage and it lay like that for months. I don't think a fixture goes by against them now where they don't cause some sort of costly damage.
  2. Totally incompetent ref tbh, before VAR when all questionable reds went to the review panel it always seemed to be his that we got over turned. It's a shame he is the ref for this game as it'll be his show.
  3. We have played well against them this season, at Fir Park I felt we had done more than enough to win but we had passed up a few glorious efforts before we got stung right at the death not once but twice. We defended brilliantly at Parkhead but we gave them a lifeline when it looked like they were toothless up front. It'll be interesting to see how Celtic react to Rangers going top of the table, by all accounts they haven't been playing great as of late but they have still been grinding out results. I wouldn't be surprised if it's yet another game where we are left thinking of what could have been. I'm looking forward to getting the games between the arse cheeks over with but we do have an important game against Livi sandwiched in between, that then leaves us with four fixtures before the league split. 33 points is the lowest amount that a team has managed to avoid the playoffs with, you would like to think that tally is beyond Livi but they do have a favorable run of fixtures as they play County, Well then St Johnstone. It will be interesting to see how that pans out, County also are in action next Tuesday playing their game in hand.
  4. Another one of those performances that typifies our season, missed some great chances, and can't defend set pieces. Annoying that Mandron missed a penalty against Livi, it would be nice to see them totally dead and buried as they now have back-to-back wins going into games against County then us.
  5. Casey loves an effort from miles out.
  6. Hearts have won their last 7 competitive fixtures on the bounce, they haven't been beaten in 11. The guy with the massive forehead will no doubt score as per, it would be nice to take something from this game as St Johnstone are playing Rangers, and Ross County face Dundee not to mention Hibs and Aberdeen are also playing so it's an ideal opportunity to open a buffer below us.
  7. I had fallen asleep about ten minutes before KO despite having purchased the game. When I saw the score I was fairly content with the result all things considered until I looked further into how the game unfolded. By all accounts, it sounded like we were playing some really good stuff before we folded like origami. Quite frustrating as they made two early subs to change it up and it only took like 30 seconds for it to pay dividends. I think Motherwell are working their way through a checklist of different ways to disappoint us this season. Delighted for Theo, great penalty and a lovely finish for his second. Nice finish from Devine for his goal and Vale was unlucky not to make it 3 from 3. I don't feel as if VAR has annoyed anyone much as of late but plenty of incidents were raised in this game. We were told the cameras are perfectly calibrated with the pitch but it's funny as it looked like Miovski was onside but he was off by a nose. The Paton goal is annoying as Obika is clearly getting fouled before Butcher's gentle shove on McGrath. It wasn't that long ago that Aberdeen were like 2 or 3 points ahead with 3 games in hand. Anyway quite frustrating as we could have been a point off of the top six.
  8. The game will be available on Aberdeens RedTV for £13.99 if anyone is willing to fork out after Friday's debacle. https://ppv.afc.co.uk/events
  9. We're 5 points better off than we were at this point last season. After our 25th league fixture last season, we kicked on after beating St Mirren at Fir Park and went on a great run which would see us only lose 2 of the remaining games for the rest of the campaign, I wonder if we can have another season where the form is greatly improved for one half of it as we have been either sugar or shite going back many seasons now. Friday was a kick in the baw's as it seemed like we were turning a corner. We lost some poor goals the last time we played Aberdeen, annoyingly when we had a go when we went 4-0 down their defence provided just as fragile so I hope we have more of a go this time around. Ross County play Rangers at Ibrox so it's a great opportunity to open up some breathing space between them and Aberdeen. Kevin Clancy is the ref for this one.
  10. I'm sure there was one passage of play where Devine drove forward and a gap opened up at the edge of the box and he threaded a nice ball through only for Obika to stand statuesque. We certainly had more forward momentum when he came on. I thought Buyabu done alright, he is really fast and quite early on he flashed a cross right into a danger area. If Kelly goes to the Euros we will some cash so can't see h getting dropped.
  11. I think it might have been Kettlewells first game in charge against Hearts when he was caretaker.
  12. Poor poor stuff. Losing battles and being out worked all over the pitch by the like of Alan Power, Robbie Crawford and George Oakley. The goals we conceded were a joke, that's the second year in a row our keeper has cost us dearly in the cup, it goes without saying you can't drop it on the line at your opponents feet and that second goal looked to slowly go in dead centre. The first half we looked slow and lethargic and we were screaming out for changes, when they didn't happen you just knew we'd get stung again before Kettlewell would act. A great chance to progress but deservedly brushed aside.
  13. Surprised he slipped his CV in for the job a year ago.
  14. Frustrating so far. Back to throwing one in for the opponent. We seem quite lethargic, probably could have done with a couple of more fresh legs starting. We were getting great success with Bair by threading nice through balls not pinging it high. Struggling to deal with there long balls to the big lumps.
  15. Looking forward to the game, despite playing Morton which seems regularly in recent times it always seems to be at Fir Park, perhaps best forgetting our last jaunt to Cappielow though under Baraclough. I don't think the stadium has changed all too much since my last visit in 1991. Morton are currently enjoying their longest unbeaten run in like 40+ years, I think they have went 13 without defeat so far so it'll be nice to bring that to an end tonight. That midweek win has certainly changed the mood somewhat and our recent form is also looking better, hopefully that clinical edge remains as that's what eluded us against Killie and St Johnstone. I see they have a few former 'Well players in the shape of Robbie Crawford and Darragh O'Connor not to mention quite a few veterans like Broadfoot, MacDonald and Power, Imrie has also added many of his old Accies buddies to the squad. It'll be a tough nut to crack but looking forward to a real cup atmosphere, old school ground (with 2000+ 'Well fans) and hopefully we can be the first name advancing into the hat for the quarter final. Just a reminder that it's a 7.30pm KO.
  16. Exactly, we really need to turn those draws into wins. We fully deserved the three points against Hibs, St Johnstone and Killie but that's kind of been the story of our season where we have lacked that bit of quality to get us over the line. Here's hoping tonight under the lights provides us with a precious victory.
  17. We have conceded 6 goals against them this season, at Fir Park they were fortunate with the handball which led to Brophy scoring but the less said about the half arsed attempt to stop both Murray and Loturi at there goals the better, prob best not even mentioning the trip to Dingwall. I feel we have improved quite a bit over the last month but we continually shoot ourselves in the foot. County have been on a poor run, no wins in 8 with the last victory coming against us. If we a serious about getting out of this mess then we need to get the three point tonight, not only would we be six points ahead of them, but they have one game in hand next week against Rangers which you would expect them to lose. It's weird to think that a win could have us sitting a point off of 6th place. Tonights Wishlist but I suppose the win is the main thing. Don't concede from first shot on target Don't concede from set piece Cleansheet Three Points
  18. Some folk need to wring there knickers oot. Thought we actually played well for the best part in horrible conditions and probably deserved the three points. The first ten minutes they never got a sniff but typically the first time they ventured forward they got a few set pieces before they scored with the first effort they had. Quite surprised it stood as it looked a foul on Davor, esph with similar instances he pulled up for incidents involving Armstrong. I thought Paton, Spittal and Bair all played really well together, some nice phases of play but need to be more clinical. Paton could probably have won a penalty as McKenzie was pulling him as he drove into the box but he stayed on his feet. I can't remember Killie having much efforts on goal. They were however happy to volley anything that walked.
  19. Annoyingly they scored with the only effort they have had. Played some decent stuff towards the end there tbf. Lovely finish by Bair.
  20. Probably more to do with the form they're in, Rangers game aside they haven't lost much as of late plus I don't think those two have played much in recent months.
  21. Looking forward to the game today, getting the three points would be tremendous considering the other matches that are taking place today. You would expect Livi to lose at Ibrox, It'll be interesting to see how Aberdeen fare when they get a new manager but they play Celtic at home, and of course you have County vs St Johnstone. It was mentioned on social media that KVV never trained with Killie yesterday so it'll be interesting to see if he will be in the squad, I think most would have expected him to be on the bench at the very least. The last game at Fir Park earlier in the season they kept putting crosses right on top of Kelly and it eventually paid off. Annoyingly you feel that we will need to score at least twice as we can't stop conceding daft goals no matter what defensive partnership we opt for. But in saying that it was a game of two halves and you can't beat the joy of a winner deep in injury time. I think I might have mentioned it in another thread but we're one point better off after 22 games than we were last season, in fact four teams were all stuck on the same points, thankfully as it stands this season Livi are currently marooned at the bottom, it's nice to have that cushion and while we are struggling to win we have only lost two of our last competitive fixtures and considering we have had to deal with injuries, loan recalls etc we can take a degree of confidence from that. It would be nice to turn those draws into wins.
  22. Prob no surprise but saw Mika netted on his Graz debut.
