  1. Robinson likes big, strong players and plays direct football, that’s not going to change as he seems to think that’s the most effective use of a limited budget. We won’t be signing creative players and playing pretty passing football with him in charge and this season will be exactly the same as last season style wise so we might as well accept it until he’s either offered another position or is sacked. Not saying people need to like it but that’s just the way it is.

  2. I have been a member of this website for many years, and I have read through a whole lot of shite in that time, but an isolated screenshot from the highlights showing two players temporarily not moving with a comment of "FUCK SAKE WHY AREN'T THEY RUNNING?!" has to be quite literally the worst post I've ever read in the history of SteelmenOnline. Impressive.

  3. Personally i’m not convinced he’s as good as many think he is, he’s come on and made a difference at times but i’ve never thought wow this guy is good. However I can understand the call for him given he does have a higher level of creativity than most at the club. Sadly it was obvious a good six months ago he was never going to nail down a starting place with Robinson. A baffling signing to be sure given he’s not close to being a Robinson type of player.

  4. There IS a reason, he isnt suited to our "style" of football! Which makes his initial signing all the more puzzling. Personally I think Bigi and Campbell could link real well with either Cadden or another DM depending on the team were playing but it aint gonna happen unfortunately. Bigi was signed to Newcastle for 7 figures and was Coventry's POTY and one of the best midfielders in league one when we signed him so I simply do not believe he isnt talented enough to break into our team. Robbos priorities just dont involve him

  5. Has anybody considered the fact that if SR though the u21 players everybody keeps mentioning to get their chance were good enough then why would he bring anybody in and waste money the club does not have. Simple fact is they are not ready for it and/ or up to the standard required for the premiership, they may be at some point but obviously SR and the coaching team think not now. If the club gets 2 regular 1st team starters from the u21s then that would be a good result, but it does not detract from the fact that the majority of them are not premiership standard and never will be.

  6. Signing Sammon seemed to signal that Plan B will just be Plan A all over again Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk

  7. Four of our new signings that are reportedly lacking fitness (rather than quality?) failed to get off the bench yesterday. Our transfer policy this summer to strengthen 12-18 goes against the model of the club imo as it limits the development of Turnbull, Hastie, MacLean, Maguire, Livingstone & co.

  10. Perfect example of why we didn’t win today! 2 players just walking about without a care in the world.

  11. Zane Francis-Angol was an ex-Spurs starlet defender too, wasn't he? Good to see Aberdeen's scouting strategy is still to try and nab our players and targets. Steelmen? Steal men, more like. Amirite?
