  1. It's called looking out for your players. Good managers do that - great managers made a career out of it. That's why guys like Wenger and Fergie never saw their own players commit a foul or give away a pen.

  2. There's a seethe because the OF want to bugger off to England and leave their B teams at home to keep skimming cash out of the Scottish game while they (they hope) rake in big money down south.

  3. Harley gave away yet another needless free kick on the edge of the box that led to the goal, and I'm pretty sure he did the same against accies. Aldred needlessly gave the ball away just before McHugh's second yellow, literally passed it straight to a Livi player. As for McHugh, I felt a bit sorry for him tbh. I'm not going to defend either card as they were well deserved but he was visibly frustrated after being clattered a couple of times and getting absolutely nothing from Collum. He's clearly one of the players who's committed to digging us out of this hole. We've stopped doing absolutely everything that got us success last season. Even down to Carson's distribution. Last season he was releasing the ball quickly setting off runners down the pitch. Now it's slow, predictable hoof ball out to the wings that's inevitably coming straight back. I also thought there was a noticeable difference in Cadden when he moved into the middle after the red card. His energy levels seemed night and day. We need to give him the best possible chance to affect the game and it's not where he's starting.

  4. I have to say I didn't see any opportunities for Menga to be red carded. As for the game itself, it was obvious from our starting 11 we were going to create very little, and that is how it turned out. Fortunately, Livi had an equal lack of creativity and the only "save" I remember Carson having to make was a ball that came straight at him (and I think was probably meant to be a cross). Our biggest issue (amongst the many) was nobody up the park for an out ball. Time after time we'd gain possession only to lump it up the pitch into empty space because we didn't have a single player in an advanced position. First time anybody put their foot on the ball and passed along the ground to a Motherwell player was when Bigi came on. Oh, and Main was rotten.

  5. What I don’t get about Robinson is his constant chatter about balls and crosses into the box. However he sticks with this formation and style of play that is conducive to not getting decent balls in and playing with a midfield incapable of bursting into the box. Would love us to go back to a 4-4-2. Carson Tait Aldred Hartley ATS Cadden Campbell McHugh Frear Bowman Main Get the ball down, attack with pace and width and get the balls into the box. Johnson for Main could be a call to get in behind the defenders. Let Campbell and McHugh provide extra defensive support and get it out wide quickly when in possession. However we all know that’s not how we will line up. I anticipate. Carson Tait Aldred McHugh Hartley Frear Campbell Rose Cadden Main Bowman
