  3. Griffiths? really. I cant believe some who I consider on here to be fair and reasonable contributors in a discussion would have him. He has what i can think of top off my head been shown to be a racist and engage in sexual discussions with 16 year olds plus every celtic manager in last 3/4 years has not had anything positive to say about him. I do not know anything about his mental health but his last manager Lennon has his own mental health issues and that did not stop him from slating him so that suggest to me something different to griffiths opinion. He is in my opinion a waste of space who whilst a good player in years gone by previously he has little respect for anyone as shown over the same years gone by He would split the dressing room and the fans and create divides all over the place with peoples opinions so its a no way from me.

  4. It's been about 2 months since Celtic beat us 1 - 0 on their own patch. While I'm not expecting points in this game, there is no reason to think we can't compete. The whole "Donnelly is pish" thing is as insightful as the whole "Lamie is pish" thing and the whole "Mugabi is pish" thing. They all do OK if they are played in the right position in the right formation. (And I haven't forgotten when steelboy wrote off Higdon as pish too).

  5. Not one of our midfielders are in celtic players class. But other than goss or slattery who is miles better than donnelly? Maguire attempted 6 passes last Saturday v hearts before injury and 5 of them went to hearts players. Mcginley is easy target and obviously Alexander rates him above Carrol who has seemingly turned into prime Roberto Carlos since being out team.

  6. It was done and dusted yet, you saw fit to raise the issue… again. Top moderation.

  7. You inferred he was the kit hamper carrier or the waterboy. Thats pretty personal. In your first post you accused him of using word salad. I dont want this to get into a tit for tat between you and I but this is a regular occurrence. You clearly have a lot to offer this forum, but demeaning other peoples posts because they are less knowledgeable than you isnt constructive.

  8. Word salad. 3rd course. Bt your own admission, Mugabi up front is a huge risk but it’s not a nonsense? Contradiction defined. Donnelly hasn’t the discipline to play at base of midfield as you put it. To be the anchor you require to offer protection to the centre of defence, regularly dragged out of that position means zero protection. Can’t recall any of our midfield going beyond strikers? Those that don’t want to see never will. Workhorses with little creativity is a misnomer also. Banged on about it often enough early in the season, the instruction to retain a shape rather than retain the play stifles. Nobody advocated playing a 4-3-3? A lot more to them ripping apart a 4-3-3 the other night too - Rangers work rate off the ball was abysmal. Nor was I questioning your 5-4-1, the player selection is way more than optimistic. Why the fascination on me naming a team selection? I don’t really give a fuck if you find that difficult and with your grasp on football bordering on moronic it’ll hardly provoke discussion.

  9. Donnelly is pish. There were three times the other night he miscontrolled the ball in a manner that would embarass a junior player. If he plays on Sunday he'll either hide for 90 minutes or get sent off. If we end up extending him and McGinley it'll be depressing.

  10. We need to play a high press, high energy one to keep this competitive. The one plus is Celtic won't be as pumped up to play us as they were Rangers. They are still the best team in Scotland right now, however, so I'm not expecting much in the way of points. For anyone living in the US, I see our game is live on CBS Sports at 8:30 EST.

  11. As much as I'm not a fan of "anti-football," if we go out against this lot and sit back, try to play on the counter, we'll get walloped. We need to be in their faces, pressing hard, and dare I say it, putting some added physical pressure on the likes of Hatate and Maeda if he plays. We know how good they are if they're given space and time to do their thing, but we've not seen how they react to a bit of close attention. I wouldn't pay too much attention to how the Rangers game went. That was a one-off. The atmosphere, the opponents, the chance to go top. This is still the same team that laboured against Dundee United and Hearts.

  12. Wind your neck in. You talking shit certainly doesn’t offend me. über as in the context you put it, your support being better than others as they forecast a pumping. Mugabi as a striker in games we are chasing is a world away from playing him in that role to suit a formation. As for using that Livingston debacle over 2 years since as analogy suggests you’ve run out of straws to clutch. Donnelly is determined? And so he should be, it’s a pre-requisite no? Determined isn’t disciplined and pound for pound our poorest midfielder. Doesn’t bring energy, slow of thought and a yard slower in pace than he was going by recent performances. Whats my team? Never have gone in for the amateur wish lists and seeing some of the wild takes in recent weeks on here safe to say I’ll keep to that.
