It's two different things. One is Business Interruption Insurance that the club had which is why they offered refunds on 20/21 Season Tickets which everyone used to pay for the 'free' season. The other is the interest free 20 year Scottish Government loan which had the (fairly pointless) stipulations.
Reading a Kettlewell interview earlier he mentions we are 6 first team players down on the side that helped us achieve a strong finish and that we will need to move some players on before we can sign others. Obviously we had a bloated squad as we added many new bodies in January but it would have been interesting to see how things played out if Casey, Goss, Mandron etc all accepted new deals.
Let’s try not to become prophesiers of Armageddon let’s leave that to the Jehovahs Witnesses. There’s time left on the clock and I’m sure we’ll have a few new faces in the door by match day 3 of the season
We gave the season tickets away because it was part of getting the business interuption insurance payout.
The Covid loans are interest free and repayable over 20 years. Inflation over the period since we took the loan is sitting at roughly 15%. It's going to inflate away to basically nothing.
Obika already chose 9.
No idea about the others.
Maybe he just wanted 9 really bad, so chose it twice? 😄
Seriously though, I wish we could just go back to 1 - 11 on matchday.
I dont see the point of squad numbers other than to fleece the weans at the shirt printers!
Wilkinson's squad number is 99. If he doesn't score within 30mins of his debut then some of our fans will be having a Flakey!! ( Sorry folks but you must have realised a grizzly pun was imminent) 😜😜
Tom Aldred wasn't wanted at Bury. Scott McDonald had one foot on the boat back to Australia. Kipre was second choice of the trialists. We've got the best out of any number of players that didn't fit in anywhere else. Is he a sure thing? Nope, but I'm struggling to remember the last 'sure thing' we signed..
The financial choices we have made over the last 3yrs are now as I said 3yrs ago are coming to roost. We are in for a very tough 3-5yr period unless we can secure some external investment within this time through investors/player sales
the magnitude of the conditions Steven hammell was told to work under will be seen this season and I really feel for SK who has an enormous task on his hands this season
huge pressure now on the youth coming to the fore and being a success this season. Anything above the play off will be the aim this year
