  1. Well after hearing it all and how we've been flung under the bus this week I have stopped my well society contribution and have let them know that I'm extremely disappointed with how the club have handled it in the media and the narrative that's been spun. If I'm a part of a group od big bad buggers to you then you won't wish to have my money that I work longer hours than SK ever did and for a lot less money. I've had 1 day off in the last 14 days and I work 10-14 hours a day so the financial outlay of going to football I expect to see a team fighting the bit out and trying to play some football. I've never personally abused anyone but the way fans have been painted this past week has been saddening and I'm so disappointed on our club right now

  5. My point wasn’t about stopping using loan players - as I see the value in the system - it was more about not relying on them and/or having 8 of them in at any one time.

  7. I’m not the biggest Tam Cowan fan but he’s said everything correctly here, I agree with him completely. I like SK and supported the guy but he’s went down in my estimations, it seems like he’s went in a big huff and compares working really hard to being an incredible manager. I think he’s left the club in a really disrespectful way. Say what you want about Alexander but he slipped off without chastising our whole support….. when he got 100 times the stick SK ever got.

  8. Stuart McCall, please! His win % and PPM are the best I've seen in my four decades as a 'Well fan. Halcyon days.

  9. It, therefore, seems that regularly conceding 70% possession was the result of us just being total shit due to Kettleball. However, at least Kettlewell now has a highlight reel demonstrating the art of turning an active possession approach into a passive one.

  10. All in all this has been a rotten week for us and no one comes out of it looking good. Not the club, not the support, not the WS and despite his army of chums in the media neither does Stuart Kettlewell in my opinion. He has ‘played politics’ and manipulated the situation to try and maintain his personal reputation and unfortunately the club and WS have played right into his hands. That is not excusing any personal abuse that was directed his way, or that towards any of his family and I think that there probably was some uncalled for and unacceptable stuff said. But I do not believe for one minute that that is the main reason that he left

  12. I guess we’ll be waiting a while to find out as the CEO seems to be in mourning instead of doing his job.

  13. The whole thing has been a clusterfuck from the club. I worked in HR for years. The first thing you do is do an investigation before issue a sweeping statement putting suspicion on everyone. What should have happened is 1. SK should have advised BC when he first became aware of personal abuse. 2. BC should have told SK what support and mitigations would be put in place to ensure he stayed as manager if that is what he truly wanted. Those mitigations should have been a statement issued from the club along the lines "the club have been made aware of personal abuse being directed at SK from a small number of fans located in XXXXX. The club will not tolerate this. Stewards and Security have been alerted and going forward any supporters found to be carrying out such abuse will be ejected from the ground and temporary bans put in place. Repeat offenders will have lifetime bans imposed". but no they just issue a statement saying we have regrettably accepted SK resignation because of abuse from fans. A curse on all our supporters allowing a media feeding frenzy to develop. If the club did offer this solution to SK and he still wanted to resign they should have said so, along the lines of "the club have been made aware of personal abuse being directed at SK from a small number of fans located in XXXXX. The club will not tolerate this. The club offered to put mitigations in place to give SK assurances that this will not go on un-challeged. SK has refused such an offer an we have regrettably accepted his resignation".

  14. As I’ve already said the truth probably lies somewhere in the middle. There probably was some nasty stuff directed towards Stuart Kettlewell. But at the same time he’s probably realised that he’s lost the dressing room and could take us no further. However the media are going to run with the angle and that his departure was solely down to ‘abuse’ and will use and play on that to create the impression that it’s all down to that and the fans who ‘forced him out’. In this day and age we live in a ‘mock outrage culture’ and people like to believe or at least pretend to believe what they are told by those who shout the loudest and who push the furthest. Social media plays a major part in this as just about everyone has access to up to date information about just about everything that goes on in sport and various other aspects of life. If personal abuse was directed at Stuart Kettlewell and his family then as I’ve already said that is shameful, but I just find all this uproar just a little bit unconvincing, to say the least.
