His grip on the language is extraordinary. It’s better than Jens and certainly a million times on from Wimmer. hes really clear as well with what is going on. I really like the guy and considering our horrific injury situation and the players leaving, he’s doing brilliant in my view. im over the whole league cup exit, i do get the annoyance from the fans to an extent but the whole “it’s so important and a chance to win a cup” stuff is the same every fkn year. We haven’t won that cup in over 75yrs…. What’s another year. I’m just not a fan of the Nancy cup anyway.2 points

Really proud of the team tonight. We scored a great goal, defended for our lives and worked our socks off. We limited their chances from open play so its disappointing to concede to 2 set pieces and a penalty. Freiburg are a very good side and deserved to win the game. But........ The officials were absolutely honking. Maybe its just how it is at this level, but the amount of shirt pulling, technical fouls and other dark arts going on was ridiculous. Even more gauling then when we concede a penalty and get a red card for clear simulation. Folk can blame Moorman if they like, and I agree he shouldnt have touched the guys shoulder with his hand, but that doesnt cause the guys legs to collapse. Its blatant cheating and leaves a bad taste in the mouth. Thought our response to going down to ten men was good, albeit reduced to long balls in Sebs direction (he looks handy). Overall, we lost a game to a good team. But, I would really love it if we could bloody their nose over there.1 point

Not long in and calmed down slightly…. Really gutted to lose that 3rd goal, but there was no disgrace in that tonight. Played a good side who are wise in winning European games. Players worked their arses off.1 point

We gave it a go but in reality we were well beaten by a much better team, after scoring a brilliant goal after 2 minutes we never looked like scoring again for the next 94 mins, to be honest Paulsen kept it respectable. The 2nd goal was a stupid action by Moorman a stonewall penalty, but how var thought it was a red card is beyond me, the officials and var were very poor tonight. A 2-1 defeat would have been a very good result , so the 3rd goal with the last action of the game was a right boot in the baws. There is no disgrace in being beaten by a much better team, Freiburg are a class above anything we will face in the premiership this season, Ginter is a world cup winner with 51 caps for Germany . So half time in the tie, 3-1 down and one of our key players wont be going to Germany, we still have a chance, albeit a very slim one so i hope we enjoy it and live the dream for 90 mins.. After we beat Helsinki, it was 4 trophies to play for but this week has been rough and i expect the trophy chase will be down to two by next Thursday.1 point

The team played well considering the opposition who are leaps and bounds ahead. They worked hard and the passing at the back is catching up to the levels of last season. What is a pain is that if our midfield hadn’t left I believe we may have won. You can’t change yesterday so let’s enjoy the next game and maybe goal or three 🤣1 point

Soft penalty. Obvious dive from slight contact. Expected a red and they eventually gave it. The officials were biased towards the bigger team and some of their decisions would make Collum blush. Overall they are a better team, but once we scored we retreated into a shell and stood off them. One or two just never got started. The defence is stronger this year. Strange saying that after losing two goals from cross balls. Going forward is a struggle. To many easy back passes to goalie as those further forward are not offering for ball. Again i am not having this hoof it down the park aimlessly. Giving the ball away cheaply. Front three need to do more. JT is an imposter. He has blistering pace, but it seems he is holding back. Carrying an injury? Or not interested? We missed Priestman today.1 point

Sorry but that is just wrong, he was tracking back and making tackles all night, but unfair to say a waste of a jersey. He will come good again, just needs to score. He needs to be out wide and not in the middle that is where he plays best1 point

Good performance in the main. Held our own for most of it against a far stronger side. Very frustrating ref. Dishing out yellows to Well players, but ignoring blatant Jersey pulls on Said etc. Incredibly soft penalty. Boy launched himself to the deck. Frustrating to concede at the end to another set piece. Some encouraging signs for when we are at full strength.1 point

The contact was absolutely minimal. If that had been a forward pulling a defender at a corner would that have been given ????1 point

I accidentally purchased the German language broadcast on Solidsport. Not sure if that's a good or bad omen. What's German for schadenfreude?1 point

No idea what we are going to get tonight, could be a thrashing or maybe even a wonderful night but all you can ask is the players give their best and there are no regrets about the performance. I thought HJK would have been favourites against us but beatable. In the end I think we showed we were actually a level up from them. Obviously this is a much better team but again we have a huge opportunity to show how good we can be. Freiburg are a barometer and we have the chance to really measure up to elite level football.1 point

Was that the same crap bus that took supporters to Katowice back in 91, two days travelling and they missed the 1st half of the match.🤣1 point

Hope it’s not the Bentley hotel….. I wouldn’t even wish that on Celtic fans1 point

Yep definitely, I am really liking AJ. He had such a hard act to follow but is very much implementing his own style and the new signings are fitting in well and getting the love for the club which is a thing we hsve always been good at. Would be amazing if we could win tonight1 point

Going back to the presser, on his initial introduction there was a question whether Alfie was too much of a 'nice guy'. Think that's been put to bed now. Pleasant, but robust when required.1 point

If you google it, there are a few highly recommended Tex Mex places! I don't know about the food, but if you like wine I'd ask the waiter what the good local vino is. You'll get some excellent, cheap booze and even better service.1 point

Very impressive press conference. Alfred isnt as intimidating as Jens, but he is no shrinking violet either, and showed real strength of character in his answers. Im sure that will transmit to the players and he will have earned their respect as a result. Still annoyed about the League Cup exit, but 100% understand it and it will soon be forgotten about if we get a strong performance tomorrow night.1 point

We are literally rushing guys back to play, due to the injuries to others...im pretty certain JK would not have been playing recently had Sparra not injured himself...now JK rushes back, plays a bit, and then gets re-injured. Incredibly frustrating1 point
