I’d heard months ago that Cadden was  keen on a move to America.

The fact that Cadden is being quoted as being "keen" on a move to America, as a 22 year old footballer who's not even in his prime years - (if indeed it is true!) - is surely indicative of his ambition or belief in his own potential. Twenty-two year old rock stars should be looking to break America...twenty-two year old footballers, in my opinion, should certainly not be aiming for a move to the MLS at this stage in their careers.

  2. It's a smart move on the clubs part I reckon. Gives DT an increased wage for the time when he's recovering, however long that may be, whilst securing the length of the contract for another three years. I've no doubt the club may also be thinking they may be able to get more than the previously agreed £3.25m in future sales, so it wouldn't surprise me if there was a release clause set at £4m.

He's been "transfer-listed" by Peterborough (how quaint) but he still has 2 years on his deal. As I say, he didn't fancy us the first time round and given Fir Park hasn't moved any closer to London in the past 6 months I'd imagine he'll end up at whichever League 1 or 2 side in England will stump up some cash for him. Either that or Uncle Roy will chuck some of his millions at him.

Edit to add: if the report at the time he signed for Mansfield is correct the two clubs had actually agreed a fee for them to buy at the end of his loan. Stating the obvious a bit but it'd seem they've decided against taking him permanently.

Forgive my ignorance, but... Uncle Roy...?

  4. I imagine Faddy will be around in the future.

He is still a relatively young guy and whatever he plans on for his next adventure, I wish him well.

But I'd be very surprised if we have seen the last of him at Fir Park in an official capacity, whatever that may be.

  5. Last I heard Davie Shanks was a high standing board member (Chairman even?) at Albion Rovers, but even that was years ago granted.

I was 13, 14 when he signed - was, at the time, and all through my life, actually, completely utterly shit at football, but even then I could still spot he was a complete fuckin' donkey...
