We switched to a back four for ten minutes and in that period we scored and won a penalty. We missed the penalty and reverted to a back 5. Mind boggling.

Bair made an arse of 4 sitters laid on a plate by Gent. The purple patch is clearly over.

Gent played well and SOD was decent the rest of it a shambles. Callum Butcher is a busted flush and if he starts at Perth we will lose.

Montgomery was a shambles .. ok .. you obviously know what you are talking about !!

I get the frustration re the potential Halliday signing but we need to be realistic. We're not signing any regular starter in the January window. We simply don't have the funds to facilitate moves for regular, match fit players. Personally I think Halliday would be a decent addition. Providing we're not breaking the bank of course.

Didn't renew season ticket this season,1st away game this season and will be last,60 quid all in me and my son, poor poor quality both sides.

On this topic , good to hear Derek Adam’s calling it out on the BBC .

The standard of Scottish football just now is absolute garbage .

I cannot remember the last time I was at an entertaining game with good football being played.

There isn’t a single player in Scotland right now that gets you off your seat .. to think only a few years ago you could look forward to watching Gazza , Larsson , Laudraup , DiCanio to name but a few…and we had a team that could match up against them !!

Now we have a league full of bang average teams ,  full of bang average players who struggle to pass the ball 2 yards to a team mate .. it’s demoralising to say the least .

  4. I have never , and I mean never in my life in football .. whether playing or coaching or scouting or whatever.. have I saw a player or team who ups their game when they are getting dogs from the stands.

By all means boo and shout what you want after the final whistle , but from the first to the last whistle support your team !!!

Any players I have played with getting it in the neck , basically just hide / down tools and the team will never suddenly play silky stuff when the crowd is on their backs …it just doesn’t happen.

I was indeed. I am not one for wanting a manager moved on. I'm usually among the last to say that they should go, and I'm usually among the very last to be critical of any player.

This season seems different to me though.

On Alexander, I saw the sense in him getting the job because he had a track record. He'd accomplished stuff before coming here to suggest he at least knew what he was doing.

Kettlewell hasn't. Once he got the Ross County job on his own it became clear that he was a man seemingly out of his depth.

I think he's a really articulate speaker, and he's a great personality. But what he says and what he's managed to accomplish are two different things. I think that how he carries himself in the media gains him a lot of favour with fans. He's a confident guy who's comfortable in that settling.

I think his signings have, for the most part, been terrible though.

I can fully get behind the moving on of the likes of Shields and Efford, but can we honestly say that the players brought in have been, on the whole, an upgrade?

I don't see us getting anywhere with this current crop of players. Even if we brought in an experienced manager tomorrow I think they'd find it really difficult to get anything from the squad as it is.

The problem we have now is that we have Wilkinson on a two-year deal, Davor on a two-year deal, and Bair on a two-year deal. Thankfully Obika was a year-long deal with an option. The first three won't be easy to move on and trust me, if we bin Kettlewell for a new manager before January he'll be looking to do exactly that. And while those players might not be on much, it's still a decent chunk of change for a club that continually claims to have no money.

We got got rid of Danzaki, Efford, Tierney, Maguire, Lamie and McGinley this summer. And got fees for Van Veen and Shields.

We then used that freed up financial space to sign Obika, Wilkinson, Souare, Davor, and Bair on contracts, and got Mika, Spencer, Shaw, and Gent on loan.

That's not good business in my opinion.

The manager didn’t get any of the VV money ….

  6. As for Furlong returning .. the goalposts have moved now with the English Premier League bringing in a new rule that clubs can only put a max of 7 players out on loan ..

With Furlong out on loan with us last season and proving a hit , you might find that they won’t have him as 1 of their 7 this season

It's all about the transfer market and he's not got off to a great start.

Hard to do when your hands are tied  due to money .. but of course you must expect him to turn water into wine like he did last season ..

Give the guy a chance FFS..

Top priority should be getting Casey signed up .If we don’t get him signed then I think we are in shite street. Don’t know we gave Paton a two year deal looks like an auld pals act

Trying very hard to do so .. everyone wants him back

The guy was unemployed and was poor or average in his appearances for us. If he's not happy to take a year deal to prove himself then he leave.

As it stands he piss poor and injury prone and likely to be another contract like Morris, Maguire, Shields, Danzaki, McGinley where we are stuck paying guys who contribute nothing.

So how many of them did the current manager sign ???

    Enlighten us please !!!

I don't know who's available but I know that we picked up Obika at the deadline in January and pulled Paton out a job centre in March.

The priority should be signing starters first when we have the most budget to work with then if we need duds to round out the squad get them last minute where there are always plenty of Obika/Paton types available.

Butcher is out injured for the few months of the season. That just leaves Kelly in terms of players we can rely on. The squad is as bad as it's ever been.

So basically you are saying that you dont trust the manager ???

Personally , I thought he did a great job since he came in .. obviously you have other ideas … each to their own
