With regards to the midfield ... the one thing that is badly missing is someone or 2 who can break forward from midfield and getting beyond the front guys .....or even making late runs into the box to support the forwards....just doesn’t happen

Shaw is probably better than him...but then again , unless you have saw him playing elsewhere , you would never know.
Why bring him in from Celtic and not play him....
The more you look into the gaffers selections and tactics , the more baffling it becomes...
Maybe now that he has got his new contract , he is trying to get himself sacked....selections and tactics would back this up....maybe he has had enough and doesn’t know how to turn it around ala Robinson.....so just put out a side with 6 defenders , 1 young inexperienced midfielder , and 3 forwards , 2 of whom have no presence , can’t hold the ball up or win headers...... sorted ...
Oh , and wait till about 25 to go ..have a good chit chat about how to change it for 15 mins , so that when the changes are made , they have no time to do anything....
The more you look at it , the more it all falls into place..

You might find when Shaw is fit , he will start most games
Don't know what Slattery has done to be bombed ...maybe need to ask the manager that one ..

Some are of course but many are not. Size and skill/speed are not mutually exclusive. Usain Bolt, for example, is 6-4 and a little faster than average. I asked my mate about his quote , because I didn’t know if Shaw was a wee guy or a big guy ...but he said he was ....a big guy , physical , but has got a lot of quality as well..

Just talked with my mate who was at Sheffield Wed and went through the ranks with Liam Shaw ..he said ......
he can play anywhere , but thought he would be in midfield for you ..technically he is so good for his size ..a great player.

As of now , St.Mirren are unbeaten in 6 , before they play Rangers today, so I don’t see anything other than a very tough one here… we are not favs going into this one IMO

Serious question....does anyone know what style of play we are trying to implement ?? ...
My mate was watching us for Ross County today and we had a long conversation about what we are trying to do and we can’t work it out..
The defenders we have cannot play out from the back and resort to punts up the park
The midfield today were totally missing ...strange to come on here and see people saying that Slattery was good and O’Hara had a good game ..really !!... both were a mile off the pace...in fact the guy sitting next to me said he thought Slattery must have had a good night out last night ..he was that poor.
The front 3 are so isolated week in week out ....nobody links anything from midfield to front ...
One other point we talked about was how bad we were at the basics ...first touch was a joke from quite a few and how many players looked at least a yard off the pace compared to the Dundee guys..
But .....after saying all that , we won 1-0 ....work that one out ....it’s a funny old game !!!!

Why do we have 3 men out when we have a corner ?? .. 2 guys to make a mess of taking it and Van Veen out in the right back area … what’s that all about !!!!

I know we have a lot of areas needing strengthened up , but unless we get someone in the middle of the park who can create chances and split defences open with passes , then nothing else will mattter ....the gap between the midfield and front 3 is embarrassing and we will never get anything out of the front guys unless we have someone to create chances for them....at this point in time we have nobody anywhere near that role...

I haven’t received the 2nd email....and I applied for tickets for myself and my dad , 1 adult and 1 concession ..but have had £24 taken out my bank account .
So much for it being a software glitch that would be fixed when taking your payments..
