  1. Since it seems Murphy could be off soon, just wondering how the majority on this forum will remember him.

Maybe legend is a bit too far fetched but he has done well to gain 180 something appearances for us being only 22. He's appeared in 3 (hopefully 4) of our European campaigns and has scored the most European goals in our history, plus our first hat trick in europe.

Personally i'll remember him as another decent player that has came through our youth system. Either way hopefully he does well for himself out there.

  2. When we pump fenerbahce 4-0 at FirPark, youll all be regretting winging abouthateley playing midfield. evilgrin.gif

Aye but then they'll start moaning about tht big bastard Higdon not scoring one of the 4 goals, always something to complain about on here whistling.gif

  3. Ive got my 'champs league tour top on in vegas today, the wife wasnt impressed when i donned it this morning, but she pissed herself when she saw the bitter look a dude wearing a rangers top shot me!

    if we're including ourselves I'll be Craigan's replacement :P

  5. To be honset, he is at Portland timbers now and is on fire I believe. Although you could argue against the MLS in standard, a lot of their players would tear up the SPL. Boyd being one. He sat on the bench at middlesbrough.

Jenno, will be a good player in the championship. He'll adapt to the different style of play quite nicely. The fact that it's league 1 coventry he's going to, makes it all the better for him.

As for the bits about jenno's contract, I saw on twitter that Jennings didn't know the club had withdrawn. I think it may have been from his own account as well, I seem to recall him saying he wanted to stay...

because their teams can afford the likes of Beckham, Henry, nesta, etc

  7. ... I reckon Nine teams he would have a chance of being first choice, teams Highlighted in my opinion would have better players available than Jennoe.

well the portsmouth part is a load of shite laugh1.gif

I know easily 6 or 7 pompey fans over here than admit Motherwell would trounce them these days

  8. This thread is madness.

Obviously the club want to sell as many tickets as possible just now because:

    a) If we're at home first, you've got a few girls in the office working behind a six foot long desk trying to serve us all, then everyone would be on here complaining about the queue. And you'd have ST holders and 'Well Society members grumbling that they didn't get preferential treatment.

    b) If we're away first and the tickets didn't go on sale until after the draw, some 'floating voters' would wait until after the first game before deciding whether or not to buy. Losing 8-0 in Kiev would put a fair old dent in the coffers.

On the subject of the physical ticket not having the name of the opponent on it:

    a) I remember no such grumblings about the CIS Cup Final in 2005 where, if I'm not mistaken, the opponent is listed as 'Dunfermline or Rangers'.

    b) Buy a programme.

Maybe it's just me, but given that we were in administration not so long ago and we're only a small club from a town consumed with recession and in the shadow of the Old Firm, I would walk to the surface of the moon at any cost to watch Motherwell play in the Champions League even if I didn't know the opposition until I got there. Stop bloody moaning and count your blessings. Years from now, this period will be known as 'the good old days' and we should all enjoy them while they last.

mine says Rangers vs Motherwell :)

but other than that, well saidthumbup.gif
