  1. I'm a Chelsea fan and get down for between 8 - 12 games a season at The Bridge plus any northern based away games, tickets permitting. Any Leeds fan who knows his stuff will tell that Chelsea and Leeds have a fierce rivalry that goes back over 40 years. (1970 Cup Final - Acknowledged as probably THE most brutal game ever!) So I'll be there on Saturday hoping that Motherwell give them a good leathering. Couple of Chelsea friends up staying for a long weekend will also be attending, should be fun.
  2. I was on Bus 19 with the missus and the wean. Traffic through Glasgow was chronic but seemed to be making good time heading towards Shawlands then Old Bill on a motorbike sent the driver the long way and he ended up parked at the wrong side of Victoria Hospital. Most of the bus got off and started to walk to the ground, I spoke to the driver and said that, as an official club bus we should be parking at the Stadium. The driver explained that he had been sent down what was the wrong road by Old Bill and didnt know how to get to Hampden from where we were as he had never been before (!). The driver was getting pelters from a few who I had to tell to calm down as the driver was a decent bloke and was trying his best. Then some woman on the bus started to give the G4S Security Guy earache which was bang out of order as he was on the phone trying to find out what was occurring. The G4S guy confirmed with someone on his phone that we should be parked at the stadium itself so I sat behind the driver and directed him to the stadium car park. Got in just at kick off and the coach was waiting at the Car Park at the end. After a bit of a wait the driver got his way to where he had originally parked and picked up the rest of the bus. When we got back to Fir Park I made a point of thanking both the driver and the G4S guy for the effort they had made as both looked fucked off with the grief they had got from a few.
  3. I couldn't agree more, The two of them are as bad as each other and I would like nothing more if the S.F.A. told them to piss off and haunt some other league. Well fans should stand well apart from them and show ourselves to be a class above. Celtic and Rangers are nothing more than two back street prostitutes who try to flog their arse off to the English F.A. at every opportunity. I'd love to see the two of them scrambling round the English lower leagues trying to pit their wits against .the likes of Welling United and Aldershot Town.
  4. Went down to the stadium with the missus and wean at about 11ish on Monday, GAve it 30mins to see how fast the queue was moving when a couple of guys in front of us had friends in the queue at Brandon Parade and said it was only as far as Poundland. Got ourselves down to the parade sharpish, couple of hours wait then three tickets for the family section and Coach 19 which they said was a "family" coach. Didn't ask for a family coach but fair play to them for putting us down for it. For the semi me and the wean were on the first double decker which had to keep stopping as the drivers of the other four didn't have a scooby where they were going. Well up for it now. Should be a blinding day.
  5. I thought the attendance was poor today, After all the effort the players have put in recently it was poor to see huge gaps in all three stands.
  6. Had it at Chelsea for years. General unwritten rule was that they never kicked it off with "scarfers" as they call it. A few Chelsea got nicked on Operation own goal in 86 and led to a good few of them getting long time nick for it. Since then it has been going off well away from the ground...........except when Cardiff came calling a couple of years ago. Went past the Florida Park pub on the bus with my wean well after the times it had seemingly gone off, Just noticed a minder at the pub door smoking. All was well quiet by that time.
  7. Its a Final, a one off game and should be split equally, as much as is possible. It shouldn't matter how big either club is. The FA Cup final against Man Ure three years back, both clubs got 25,000 each, despite Old Trafford holding 30,000 more than the bridge. Cup final last year, Pompey got the same amount as Chels, despite their ground only being half the size as the bridge. Should be as even as possible. Only gripe with the FA Cup was 40,000 tickets going to sponsors, corporate and all that malarky. Motherwell will probably get all the West end and half the main stand which is what?, around 18000 maybe?
  8. Cheers all, much appreciated. I've enjoyed it this season, St Mirren at home a couple of months back was a bit of a downer but generally, all things considered, I think the team has done very well. Start of the season I was a bit of a neutral but the more its went on the more I have got seriously pissed off when they lose. Aye, huge, huge Weller fan, always have been. Was at the SECC to see him in December. Top man.
  9. Evening all, I'm Bill, family originally from Newarthill, Left for London when I was 16. Long time Chelsea fan, Moved back up the road a couple of years back (Mossend). My daughter started taking an interest in Football and I aint taking her to Chelsea with me so I've got her into following her local club instead of Joining the Old Firm band wagon like the majority of other kids seem to do. Got me and the wean a season ticket for this season and she has grown to love it. I've really enjoyed it too, Much purer, honest brand of football compared to the money obsessed version I go to down south. She loved the semi at Hampden and is already counting the days until the final.
