  1. At the recent 1991 panel night Tommy McLean was asked who his worst signings were he said Paul Shepstone and Alex Jones were bad. I think the McLeish era was bad with guys like John Hendry Shaun McSkimming Eddie May Andy Roddie to name a few. Eric Black also signed a couple of crackers Yan Saloy and Ange Ouifio. Who do you think has been our worst signings. Alan Sneddon must get a shout

  2. Totally agree Yir Elder, I think we will see Murphy up front rather than on the wing. My main worry is I can't see McHugh stepping up to be a first team regular. If any of our forwards get injured I can't see where the goals will come from which is a major worry

  3. I'm sure there would be loads of English teams looking to sign him, the report earlier in the week said we couldn't compete with conference team on wages or was that McCall being clever, even the Rotherham fans on the forum seem surprised about him coming to us but one fan seems sure it's gonna happen hope he is right

Maybe he thinks he could get a move to the old firm if he does well.

  4. I was at the reserve game when Peggy was in goal, Marvin Andrews also played at centre half for us that night, both had a nightmare. Going off topic a bit but was also at the reserve game where David Ferrere played and scored two belters, two days later he scored the famous half time hatrick v Hibs, he looked a real player wonder what happened to him

  5. There ain't to many goalscoring midfielders out there, even the old firm don't have a player who scores loads, Hughes would create the chances for Higdon, Murphy and Co. I would love us to sign a midfielder who scores goals but can't think of anyone who is available or affordable

  6. Would rather still to have Sutton but Higdon is a decent choice to replace him, I fear he may be a target for the boo boys if he dosnt make a good start to season, let's not forget Sutton wasn't everyones favourite until Brown left.

Good luck big man hope you score a barrow load of goals for us.

  7. I was sitting in the hospitality on Saturday, when Celtic scored there first goal I heard loud cheering, I turned round and to my shock Tom Boyd was cheering as if he was the Celtic manager. I understand the guy is a Celtic fan which is fair enough but his celebration was disrespectful to the team and fans that made him the player he ended up being.

Overall I feel he could have shown a bit more respect considering he was sitting in the area meant for Motherwell fans and this was our first Scottish cup final since he lifted the trophy for us, I hope he never gets invited to another

Motherwell function which is sad as he was once a hero to so many of us.
