  1. Was also sponsors, visiting club big wigs and the like for the hospitality boxes. Even the stewards (back in the days out was in house) couldn't get parked there

The website says parking can be booked online for £6 per match. I've yet to find the link to do so.

  2. The official site mentioned that there are 40 parking spaces split across two local schools that can be booked online (£6) during matchdays.

Does anyone have any details as how to do this, the site doesn't seem to have any more information.

Any free parking information would also be welcome.

  3. The problem is that our wingers rarely link effectively with a lone striker. I too would like to see Blyth get some game time though, but probably off the bench. I don't think our midfield is capable of chasing Rangers down and winning the ball. Not confident about this game at all but sometimes thats when we're at our best.

Your post are always very sensible, well balanced and thought through. Every time I see your username as the latest contributor to a topic - A bit of me hopes you come out with something a little more controversial!

Can you give us a "we're going to pump them 4 nil siwy" or something? :)

  4. Papers read here and print what they see without checking the facts.

    soooo.... here goes......

Marv is a steal at 1.6m we should hold out for 4 million with a 25% sell on clause.

    Not a penny less.

and if you think McManus is leaving for anything short of 1.25M then you have another thing coming.

  5. An option gives us first refusal, but does not hold the player under contract, so no transfer fee or compensation is applicable.

Could someone explain the value of these deals. Not being funny, I just don't get what the club get out of them and if they're someone more than a gentleman's agreement.

  6. Give me a new player anyday....folk are standing already. Now if we could get beer in that would be a different story.

Open a bar in the stand

All profits go towards creating a safe standing area

Sign a player with the money that would have otherwise went on said work

    Everyone's a winner! :)

  7. Good post. Fans now have to back the Society, although being realistic many won't. However, the Society now has to up its game and become more professional. A start would be to make the Society more visible on matchdays. Get out and meet the rank and file, press the flesh, and speak to punters face to face.

I read most of this topic tonight. Kmcaplin, I feel your pain. No one from the society is listening to your suggestions. I'm on the Motherwell database but I've never once been contacted by mail or phone, never been given a leaflet or asked if I'm interested in joining the WS.

Genuine question, how can the membership grow if people like me aren't being contacted?
