Because of where I live I never really get a chance to see games, but after listening on the radio/seeing the score almost every week I come on here and read about how awful the referee was. On the rare occassion I do get to see games I think the referee has a good game, but still come on here and read about how shit the referee was. Yesterday I thought that the ref had a great game. Lasley's early challenge was a definite red card (in my opinion). It was studs up, knee level and 100mph. The ref rightly booked him because (I think) he didn't want to 'ruin the occasion' (i.e. have a team down to 10 men in a cup final). The few that proceeded after that had to be yellow cards because of the nature of the challenges, which was understandable. When the big Swedish guy at the back handled the ball I'm not sure if it was a 2nd yellow. Probably in the rules of the game it was, but the ref opted not to book him because I think he thought it was ball to hand. Understandable that we all wanted him booked again, but I can understand why the ref never sent him off. We were also incredibly fortunate that he never saw Craigan on the deck palming the ball away, as he'd have been off straight away. Either way I think the ref had a great game and was very fair for both teams. Discuss.

Bollocks, how can you take that moment into consideration and then not mention Lasley's knee-high-studs-up-100mph tackle or Craigan's deliberate hand ball? How can you say that it's part of a conspiracy from Celtic and then come out with this nonsense? Maybe, just maybe, the whole world isn't out to get you.

Don't really know who Hugh Keevins is but you can't really argue with him if he says Rangers'll beat us. When's the last time we beat them? I think we'll get royally humped tomorrow, 3-0 to Rangers.

I normally do the same but I feel the need to speak; MJC is entitled to his opinion, one that in this case I definitely agree with. It's great to be in a cup final and I'm loving the build up to it and I'll hopefully be there (3rd game of the season, glory hunter in the extreme!) but (in my humble opinion) we ain't got a chance of lifting the trophy. Just coz he's a bit negative doesn't mean he deserves the level of abuse he's had in this thread (not you WMIW but others). Just my opinion though. And I'm pretty sure you can block users.

To be fair it's turned into that already, and for what it's worth I agree with BB and John_M_F_C, the people claiming that you need 'wit' and guile' and what not to be real Motherwell fans don't really know what they're talking about and just look daft claiming that. I know one or two 'Well fans who get involved with that kind of thing and I can guarantee that they're just as big (if not bigger) Motherwell fans than everyone else. Obviously fighting in a pub is not acceptable, but saying they're not real fans because they are involved with that kind of thing is just plain shite.
