Former Well player Peter Millar has sadly died aged 62, thought go out to his family at this sad time.

Lee Miller !!!!!!!Alright guys,
This is no rumour just fact but Motherwell have lined up Lee Miller to replace higdon when/if he decides to leave
Enquiry has been made and McCall will discuss higdon/miller issue when he returns from his break
-
Only Higdon and Hateley tae decide now ,they go and it really is starting to becoming THE WORST CASE SCENARIO. But I'm actually looking forward tae seeing McCall rebuilding the team ,and I'm pleased that he's still at Motherwell to do it. Onward and upward, this is the Motherwell way .
-
Ojamma & Higdon both leaving.
-
Well seeing that its an INS and OUT thread and he doesn't actually play with Motherwell at the moment that only leaves one option........No rocket science.

Been a great few years no doubt about that but this looks like being another good Motherwell team never to win a trophy. Second place in fine but doesn't in anyway come close to actually winning something.

4-1 now

dont think we'll see a Motherwell v Hibs game on a Saturday at 3 O'Clock for a while
it nearly always produces the sort of stats the tv companies will love
Just something about this tie ,always produces. Great entertainment though not always pretty.

3-1 now with an absolute wonder goal from Higginbotham or whatever he's called . Outrageous overhead scissor kick .woooof. Its Friday night its Hibs Motherwell and as always its so unpredictable.
-
Always unpredictable, and usually a good game.

I seem tae remember Daley scoring a cracker in an away game (Aberdeen ?) but over all a poor signing ,but every gaffer makes them, be away in the summer .Great result yesterday which was the important thing .
-
Game is on BBC alba at 5:30 tomorrow night that will do for me . Think we can win this one 1-3.
-
Nothing against the guy Barnstaple who I don't know but I don't listen to the MFCtv broadcast because of him as well. Thought it was just me but obviously not. Get someone else in please.

And that's with faddy .lol

Poor game, a lot of the ball but toothless, took my son and we went tae the main stand £44 ,is it any wonder people don't go to games, uninspiring game + £44 = empty seats. First and last league game of the season for me I'm afraid.

We already run on a skeleton staff compared to many clubs. And in the modern game, it's the assistant manager that runs the day to day, taking all the training sessions etc. while the manager deals with the bigger picture.
What bigger picture?

superb post mate unfortunately a lot of hot air won't stop the inevitable .....games fucked end of.I don't believe the game is finished. But I do believe that it's going to be a different animal in say 10-15 years time from what it is now.
Someone mentioned, in another thread I think, about how the English leagues work. For me the worst possible comparison you can make is with the English leagues. You are simply not comparing like for like. Our top flight, since the establishment of the SPL has been driven trying to follow the same money chasing model of the English Premier League and we've suffered enormously for it.
We had Celtic and Rangers, who spent big on a ego trip so that they might continue to feel the equals of English sides and as clubs we all did the same to try to compete with the Old Firm. Throw in expensive and costly rules like having to have 10,000 seats and undersoil heating in place as well as the wages that were required to fund this attempt to keep up the with Joneses idea and we're all financially reaping what we've sown. Hell fucking mend us all!
But. I do think over time there will be a shift back to something more akin to days pre-Sounness and pre-SPL where we become less reliant on TV money, and are generally more financially prudent as clubs. I think we'll be pushed even further to the margins as the English game continues to get more and more airtime on the likes of SKY be that through live games, as live or highlights packages and TV deals that do come our way will continue to be scaled back in revenue. Clubs are already seen to scale back on what they are offering players, cutting squad sizes and trying to go with more youngsters too. In time there will be a more realistic balance.
There are also some glimmers of hope in talk of relaxing standing regulations, considering things like having a beer at the game etc. that will make attending a game a bit more enjoyable than perhaps it can be at times now.
It will require bold thinking, more fan input on boardrooms and the removal of people like Doncaster for whom their whole raison d'être in Scottish football is that fix of TV money. We need to look beyond that.
But if we can slowly edge to the point where clubs don't feel they have to overcharge at the gate and can offer realistic admission prices, offer supporters a choice of standing or sitting, the opportunity to have a beer if they wish all whilst watching a team whilst of not perhaps the standing of former years but one made up heavily of aspirational young Scots and I think the game will certainly have a future.

Had a look on the official site and Wanyama dosnt make contact with Hatley after the penalty so ive scrubbed the original post. He makes a run toward him but dosnt make contact.

I don't think there is any doubt that Jaimie is being sacrificed . But I'm sure he will be OK once he settles in. But hey I wouldn't like my work tae send me away tae fuckin Sheffield away from friends and family . Lol

Motherwell boss Stuart McCall has revealed that James McFadden will officially re-sign for the club on Wednesday.
The Scotland international returned to Fir Park for a six-month spell in 2012/13.
He signed for Well in January in an effort to prove his fitness - following an injury-ravaged end to his time at Everton.
McCall was happy to welcome the 30-year-old back to the club that helped to launch his career and remains convinced that he has plenty to offer.
McFadden netted from the penalty spot as Motherwell suffered a 4-2 friendly defeat to Newcastle United on Tuesday and is ready to commit himself to the club for the foreseeable future.
McCall said: "He will be in tomorrow to sign.
"I'm led to believe it's going to happen and, if it does, it will be another good addition to the squad.
"Once he's done it, it will be a shot in the arm for the fans."
