  1. Motherwell Cigarette, Trade cards & Stickers through the Years. More to follow.
  2. An article about the tour of Argentina (May/June 1927) in the clubs handbook for the 1927-28 season.
  3. Some old Motherwell autographs. The 1941 list shows the regiments that some of the players served with.
  4. Does anyone know of programmes that were produced for tours of South Africa other than those shown here?
  5. MFC 1931 South Africa Tour itinerary (poster size). Look at the number of matches played in 15 days and over 19,000 miles by sea and rail. I wonder how many of todays players would cope, no planes, no headphones, no twitter etc.,
  6. To underboyleheating, thank you for the editing, appreciated.

  10. Hello Fellow Well Fans, Does anyone know if programmes were on sale for the pre-season friendlies v Albion Rovers, Arbroath & Dumbarton?
  11. The only programmes that I have from the Northern Ireland Cup International Youth Football Tournament are seasons 1983 (1st season), 1984, 1985, 1986 (renamed the Northern Ireland Milk Cup) and 1988. Motherwell Squad listed in 1983 as; Gordon Henderson, Paul Smith, Gary Harrison, Derek Halliday, James McLean, Derek Walsh, Robert Kennedy, Stephen Aitken, Paul Tracey, James O'Hare, Stephen Connors, Martin McBride, Kevin McKeown, Mark Reilly, Ronald Findlay and Cameron Young. They beat Coleraine in the final, were awarded the Tyrone Crystal Award given to the most successful team from outside Northern Ireland and the Player of The Tournament was Stephen Connors, 1988 under 16 Squad; David Wright, Steven Nugent, Colin Nisbet, Andrew McVicar, Allan Brand, Philip Campbell, David Edgar, Paul Burke, Philip O'Donnell, Kieran Brady, Mark Dickson, Gerard Mitchell, Colin Wilkie and Chris Lambe. Team Official, Bobby Jenks. 1988 under 14 Squad; Stuart McIntosh, David Arbuckle, James Fullerton, Andrew Wright, John Lavery, Anthony Smith, Nicholas McDonald, Marvin Wilson, Ryan Gallagher, Alex Burns, Brian McLaughlin, Steven Smillie, James O'Neil, David Patterson, Mark Dunn and Robert Bellingham. Team Official, Bobby Jenks. Sorry no info on the Manchester United squad. Hope all the above is of interest.
  12. My sentence above should have read "The first name the CLUB......"
  13. The first name the game should have used when 'naming' any stand was John 'Sailor' Hunter, check out his time with the club, incredible in any era.
  14. Shame on the club for failing to have the names of our greats of the past not more prominent.
  15. A link to some nice Motherwell FC memorabilia including some of Hugh Ferguson. http://s533.photobuc...C%20Memorabilia
  16. I stand corrected, hitting the bar is not on target. However I would rather have a well struck shot hit the woodwork than have a shot trundle up to the target where the keeper then bends down at his leisure to pick it up. A sad life I lead when I can sit at a keyboard and 'discuss' what is and what is not a shot on target.
