  1. Did everyone who paid up for this season get their refunds? I don't see mine anywhere.

I never got mine refunded. I had to contact Alan Burrows who got it all sorted for me.

  2. Against a team with ten men who are sitting back and can defend crosses (unlike ourselves), having someone who can shoot from distance would be useful...

Ya Bezzer said Vigurs is someone who can but he has shown nothing to suggest he's capable of that.

They could defend the crosses because they had no quality to them. Our players regularly got into good positions and wasted possession with a poor cross, Hammell being the main culprit.

  3. Funnily enough tonight was the night Vigurs would have been handy. He can actually strike a ball from 20 - 25 yards. Carswell, Lasley, Lawson, Francis-Angol, not so much.

That wasn't our main problem tonight. Our players seem incapable of playing any decent crosses, and on the rare occasions they do, we have nobody attacking them.

  4. The sleeves bug the hell out of me. I've mentioned it before but the proportions of the Puma tops are all wrong, last seasons were the same.

Normally you know if you have the right size because too big feels too big, too small feels to small, and the right size fits you. With these tops though, you know you have the right size because it feels to small and too big at the same time.

I had to buy a top a bigger size than normal and bigger than the away because the white section makes the space too narrow to fit your head through.

  5. But what I would say is that rightly or wrongly there was certainly a feeling, if you want to call it that, that Hateley seemed to have a status in the side that perhaps wasn't quite warranted. I recollect once or twice he was handed the captain's armband during a game when the captain went off. I remember thinking it a little curious at the time how high up the pecking order he appeared to be.

The few occasions this happened, it was probably due to having more appearances for the club than any of the other players on the park, rather than a status thing.

For a good too while there seemed to be something of an unwritten rule that he would be the man to take almost all the set pieces.

Set piece takers are down to management to decide. If the manager wants one player to take all the set pieces, then that player is going to follow that instruction.

It's a little amusing that he didn't make it to Ibrox certainly, particularly since one of his old team-mates did.

This "daddy wants his boy to move to Ibrox" keeps coming up, but I don't recall either Hateley or his father ever stating this was their intended move. It seems people view this as fact purely because of who his father is.

I think some of it stems from the fact it seems like if you have any dealings with him off the park he comes across as an arrogant cock who thinks hes too good for us.

On the few occasions I've had any dealings with him, I thought he seemed a polite and quiet kind of guy, who was happy to chat to any Motherwell fans, and seemed to genuinely enjoy playing for the club.

Whilst I don't doubt some people may have had run-ins with him, as I'm sure many fans have with players, it seems some people are basing their dislike of him on some pretty poor reasoning.

  6. Just to make the point,

Dundee united advertised that last night visiting fans would be housed in the upper stand priced at £21/£12 , http://www.dundeeunitedfc.co.uk/index.asp?tm=172 , now it might not have been fully clear and hidden away in a page less prominent than their standard pricing structure and I don't agree with making fans pay extra, but it was there.

It might also be worth noting that our very club screw over visiting fans by charging them even more, £22/£15/£12

Which is a bigger disgrace IMHO

So if making a point in the media, on the £21 price be sure to make it for he correct reasoning

Most people would only check the MFC website, which stated £19/£21 dependant on which tier you were in. For MFC to publish this, it must have been the information Dundee United gave them.

Motherwell have probably then went to United and told then a number of away fans would not be attending. United have then probably made the decision to close the lower tier due to a lower than expected away support and not passed this information on to Motherwell.

  7. Ibrox bee interesting to see the boycott as we'll be due half the gate

Reckon green might try to do a cheap price , although we have to agree to it

I'm pretty sure the gate is only shared in Scottish Cup ties.

Green is simply playing to the masses with this £1 entry talk. Anyone who knows the rules knows full well it can't happen, yet the Sevco fans are stupid enough to think it will happen.

No agreement on admission price = standard league prices apply.

  8. The ref. Didn't see hutch on the ground until we won the ball and he had a look round to see hutch holding his head that's why he blew whistle as we had ball. CORRECT DECISION although infuriating!

Brines was telling Norris to stop the game when St Mirren had the ball, so he knew Hutchinson was down before we got the ball back.

  9. Please explain.

We've only played 4 league games, 3 of which have came off the back of European matches, something squads far bigger than ours struggle with.

We're unbeaten in those 4 matches and were within 1 minute of topping the table, despite senior players carrying injuries and a number of youngsters making their debuts.

So to say McCall and Black have been found out seems a bit over the top.
