  1. Dallas has turned down two already, we're no getting away with a third pen or not!
  2. "Intent to follow through" ha ha
  3. I thought Gallagher was poor today, admittedly by his own high standards. He seemed to struggle with Cosgrove's "physicality" from the start and didn't quite know how to play him, resorting at times to nipping in front of him desperately trying to win balls that were never on. He also played himself into trouble more than once by trying to be too smart (that fake half turn he does is going to end in tears) and his ball to Campbell which led to the second was nuts. Saying that compared to the rest of the performances on show today it is undoubtedly unfair to single him out. Aberdeen did to us today exactly what we have done to them in the recent past. They were right in our faces from the start and we imploded. Absolute pish from everyone.
  4. We've had some atrocious penalty decisions given against us over the last few seasons and that one was right up there. Truly awful. Have to agree with Steelboy and GazzyB on the red card, there's nothing accidental about it. Donnelly lost his cool, saw his chance to leave his mark and took it, twice.
  5. Absolutely this. Such a simple change in formation had us all over the shop. They went for us down our right side and Grimshaws' defensive frailties were all too visible once again. By the time Robinson reacted game was a bogey.
  6. The SPFL youtube highlights are up and are better than both the BBC and MFC highlights. There's multiple angles for the goals and you can clearly see the push on Gallagher for Heart's first. Definite foul. Also as much a Long is getting a bit of stick for missing his one on one he made the chance himself, showed really good pace and hit the target.
  7. And there's the real issue right there. If stewards and Police actually did their job away fans sitting in the home section would be far more inclined to behave. Generally speaking, it's hard to argue with anyone who wants to protect their child from the bigotry and general unpleasantness of the OF but I also agree with others who say that, on the proviso away fans behave, it should be tolerated. Something does not sit right with me when stands sit half empty yet people who want to attend can't. Its a perverse problem that only Scottish football seems to suffer from. Personally, I'd wack £10 on OF tickets and spend the extra money on additional stewards and Police to kettle the feckers. I'd also hold them in the ground for 15 minutes after the game regardless of result.
  8. I don't think anyone is saying otherwise. but it defeats the purpose of an automated online renewal system. The initial confusion has been caused by contradictory information contained in the automated confirmation e-mails which shouldn't be too difficult to fix. I'm sure they will get there in the end and given this is the first season of online renewals it is understandable. In the grand scheme of things it's not a big deal.
  9. I had the same thing when renewing mine back in May and I'm going to phone up and check as I don't have much faith my card will be re-activated otherwise. I've not had any e-mail stating it will be. I know it's a relatively new system but it still needs a bit of work if truth be told.
  10. Chop a foot off the legs and we can use it for Campbell. Noone will ever know!
  11. We're hardly into the transfer window and have already secured bids from the Scottish premiership champions and English championship champions/Premier league new boys Norwich City. That's a pretty good indicator there is strong interest out there. I think we have let Celtic dictate the terms of the transfer in respect to the timing and had the option to stay strong but didn't. And that's not to say I don't understand the reasons why we accepted their offer or the pressures on Burrows and the board to do so. The only sure thing is we will never know what could have been.
  12. Burrows made it clear we decided to deal at that price and listed a whole host of reasons why it would be too risky to hold out for a better bid. That doesn't happen If there's a release clause. If there was, and our initial statement was to soften the blow to the fans of losing our star player to 'them' then why not just come out and say Celtic have triggered his release and we have to let them talk to him. I think most would have begrudgingly accepted that. This is looking like a missed opportunity the longer it goes on.
  13. The annoying thing is if we had played it right there could have been a proper bidding war. Now all that happens is the player's terms improve with each offer and we get nowt more.
  14. Somehow I don't think this is done and dusted yet...
  15. Confirmed by multiple sources including the BBC and herald. "Significant" sell on also mentioned
  16. David Turnbull clearly has confidence in his own ability, maybe Burrow's and the rest of the board should take note.
  17. I'm not so sure. Given DT apparently went against his agents advice when he signed the extension with us I think this is more likely a personal decision, even a footballing one. The boy seems smart enough to know that Celtic is not the move to enhance his career.
  18. Call me old fashioned but I'd quite like to see him playing for Motherwell again.
  19. Please, please, please, please, please, please, please be true.
  20. Where has the release clause chat come from? Burrows has already stated in his tweets it was the boards decision to accept the offer as it was too risky to hold out for a bigger bid that might never come. Plus why would there be add ons if the release clause had been met?
  21. The thing that annoys me is why have we accepted the offer so soon into the transfer window? Even if there are no concrete offers on the table from England just now doesn't mean there won't be in the near future. Things move quickly and as players move and the deadline approaches, offers are often made out of the blue. As Burrows himself tweeted, yes it's a risk, but I think it is one most fans would have been willing to take. The worst that could happen is we see David Turnbull in a Motherwell shirt again.
  22. So no release clause, it was the board's decision to sell after all.
  23. Curtis Main summed up in a 3 second passage of play
